Stand Cry
A Stand Cry is a yell that Stand, and sometimes Stand Users, scream when attacking at rapid speeds. It's one of the trademarks of the series, with most if not all main Stand users having one. It is usually defined by the user ( or some cases, the stand itself) punching at incredible speeds, while shouting their cry. While it is sometimes unique, it will occasionally be similar or the same as another users cry.
Origin
The origination of the Stand Cry comes from one of the biggest inspiration of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Fist of the North Star. In it, whenever the main character Ken punches at high speeds, he shouts "ATATATATATATATATATATATATATAT!". Hirohiko Araki adapted this, and changed it so that the cry sounded much more primal and angry. Several of the cries are direct references to either songs, other part's of the series, or other characters. Earlier in the series, certain characters would scream their attacks, so it's possible that the Stand Cry is an evolution of this concept.
