The chapter opens with a man named [[Pocoloco]] lazing around while counting the clouds in the sky. An [[Pocoloco's Friend|old man]] tells Pocoloco about a job offer from their landlord to plow a new field, but Pocoloco refuses since it's swamp land. He believes that starting next month, he will be at the happiest point in his life for two months because of what a [[Pocoloco's Fortune Teller|fortune teller]] told him. He then sees an advertisement for the [[Steel Ball Run (Race)|Steel Ball Run]] race in a newspaper and decides to join it. |

Gyro Zeppeli (ジャイロ・ツェペリ, Jairo Tseperi), originally San Diego Beach - September 23, 1890 - 2 Days to Start, Part 2 (サンディエゴビーチ 1890年9月23日 スタート2日前 その②, San Diego Bīchi 1890-nen 9-gatsu 23-nichi Sutāto Futsuka Mae Sono 2) in the WSJ release, is the second chapter of Steel Ball Run and the 754th chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga.

Summary

He then sees an advertisement for the Steel Ball Run race in a newspaper and decides to join it.
Gyro confronts a man for stealing some of his entry fee money. The man is held back by some onlookers, who suggest taking him to the sheriff. Once Gyro finishes paying the rest of the entry fee with his money, he is confronted again by the thief. The thief goads Gyro to try and kill him with his Steel Balls, stealing one of the onlookers' guns. He is tackled to the ground by the onlookers, going on to say that he will join the race to follow and block Gyro's path through it. Gyro tells the onlookers to give the thief back the gun he was holding, and that he will not press charges against the man. As a result, the onlookers hand the gun back to the thief and let him up. Gyro tells him to pick up the gun, warning him that doing so will be a "sign" that he's going to bother Gyro.
