A list for trivia that is either "junk" or a stretch in logic, but is still cool regardless.
Feel free to add whatever fun stuff you come across, although make sure it actually makes sense and isn't some wild fan theory.
Unsorted/Misc
- Jotaro is the one to name Crazy Diamond after observing Josuke rushing into a fight without thinking.
- Joseph's first appearance in Chapter 1 of Battle Tendency and his last appearance in Chapter 174 of Diamond is Unbreakable both involve him having his wallet stolen by Smokey and his son Josuke respectively.
Chapter Titles
- Chapters 103 & 104 of Vento Aureo are titled "My Name is Doppio (Parts 1 & 2 respectively)", and Chapters 130 & 131 are titled "His Name is Diavolo (also 2 parts)".
- Both of these arcs are more or less the first proper appearances of their respective characters.
- Both of these arcs having 2 parts could reference the fact that Doppio and Diavolo are 2 souls in 1 body - 2 parts of the same whole.
- A later chapter in Stone Ocean is titled His Name Is Anasui, potentially referencing how similar he and Diavolo look.
- Five arcs from Diamond is Unbreakable start with a "Let's" theme, being Let's Go Eat Some Italian Food, Let's Go to the Manga Artist's House, Let's Go Hunting!, Let's Live on a Transmission Tower, and Let Me Remind You.
This is a reference to Araki's phase of loving DaBaby.- This naming convention would return with Chapter 8 of The JOJOLands, which is titled "Let's Go Look at Luxury Watches".
- Three arcs throughout the series contain "Is Coming!", being Rock-Paper-Scissors Kid Is Coming!, Bucciarati Is Coming, and Yo-Yo Ma Is Coming!
- Additionally the original title for Chapter 54 of Steel Ball Run was "Wekapipo is Coming!" and Chapters 68 through 70 were originally called "The President is Coming!"
- Every chapter of the light novel Crazy Heartbreakers starts with the letter "D": Dire straits, Dazed date, Dissonance, Descent on, Disquietude, Double doubt, DIO, and Diamond.
Scanlations
French
- In the French J'ai Lu edition of Diamond is Unbreakable, Pepsi and Gucci are renamed to "Popsi" and "Bucci" respectively. (They were changed back in the Tonkam editions.)
Dubs & Subs
French
- At the end of the Stardust Crusaders Alessi battle, the French narrator says something along the lines of "Alessi a été envoyé vers d'autre cieux (Alessi was sent blasting away in the sky)". The Pokémon French dub says something similar for Team Rocket where the narrator says "La Team Rocket va vers d'autre cieux (Team Rocket blast off the sky at the speed of light)".
- Diavolo's French voice actor, Laurent Blanpain, works at the YouTube channel Re: Take, doing parodies for Parts 1 and 2.
- Another member of the channel's crew, Maxime Hoareau, voice acts Tamami Kobayashi in the TSKR OVA.
- In the French subtitles for Stone Ocean, some named are translated while others aren't (e.g., Weather Report -> Prédiction Météo, & Kiss -> Baiser).
- The name of Pucci's initial Stand alternates between the original and localisation, Whitesnake and Palesnake.
- These happened since the French translations for Part 6 were English -> French, rather than Japanese -> French like Parts 1-5.
Games
GioGio's Bizarre Adventure
- GioGio's Bizarre Adventure is the only major piece of colored media where Giorno's and Trish's eye colors are different in a notable way (navy blue and dark green respectively).
- In other adaptations, they are both blue (like the colored manga and Eyes of Heaven) or green (like the Anime).
- Eyes of Heaven's Trish is a curious case, because while her render has blue eyes (matching the game's Giorno), the actual in-game default model has green eyes (separating hers from Giorno's), so this one counts only halfway in.
All-Star Battle
- DIO's Special Costume C-2 alt, likely based off of this Super Action Statue, bears uncanny resemblance to popular Capcom Fighters player Zarythe's own modded costume for HFTF. This is likely just coincidence, however.
