Stray Cat (ストレイ・キャット) is a stand/user hybrid appearing in Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable. It is also referred to as "Catweed" by Kira Yoshikage.

Appearance and Personality

Stray Cat is a stand bound to a plant shown having a thick stem for body and big leaves that operates like arms. Two petals are wrapped into a feline shape for the face. The personality is the same as any normal cat as the stand is a reincarnation of the actual user. Its facial design has changed shape when it is re-introduced in chapter 423. He acts as the reincarnation of its user Gatta, and so retains his personality. It only works with sunlight, becoming dormant when in the dark

Synopsis

Stray Cat is the stand of Gatta that activates after his user's death. Wanting revenge for his death, Stray Cat attacks Shinobu Kawajiri and Yoshikage Kira after seeing him try to protect his killer. After almost killing Kira he is distracted by a golf ball and starts playing with it, which allows Kira to keep him under control for a while. Kira eventually decides to hide Stray Cat in his house, deciding he could be useful in the future. In there he is found by Hayato Kawajiri, who also is attacked by the stand but manages to escape.

Stray Cat eventually allies itself with Kira and is subsequently referred to by its stand's name. After the effects of Another One Bites the Dust are deactivated, Kira allows Stray Cat to inhabit the gap in Killer Queen's stomach and combine its abilities with his stand's in order to create bombs from the balls of air manipulated by Stray Cat. After Kira is defeated and dies, Stray Cat goes to live with Okuyasu's father, and is shown to get along well with its new owner.

Ability

Aerokinesis: Stray Cat has the ability to manipulate air, capable of creating air bubbles strong enough to hold a person against a wall or enter his veins, blocking blood passage. This is due to its photosynthesis from being a plant. It later gets carried in Killer Queen's stomach, attacking with air bubbles charged to explode.
