Anubis Dual-Wielding Polnareff is a fairly straight forward character, boasting decent damage and an aggressive playstyle. He suffers more than the rest of the cast as a Passive Stand user, coupled with specials and supers that leave him vulnerable more often than not. This version of Polnareff requires a lot precision but can very rewarding given the patience & tenacity to capitalize on his tools.

In Super Story Mode on the PS1 version, Polnareff is the 22nd Stage and the battle mirrors the manga.

On his way to Egypt, Polnareff defeated one of DIO's Stand Masters. He picked up the sword of the enemy he had defeated... Polnareff: This is indeed a beautiful sword... I wonder if I should draw it out... Wha!? Black Polnareff: Hee hee hee... Once drawn, I can control the one who drew
me... Black Polnareff: I, the mighty Anubis, will finish off Jotaro!
After defeating all the Stand Masters, the Anubis Sword went totally insane... Black Polnareff: I hacked all of them to pieces!! Ha ha ha ha...! Black Polnareff: Now, the only one left is... Black Polnareff: YOU!!
Polnareff tries to pick up the unsheathed Anubis, but the blade possesses him as well. After the fight, Jotaro shatters the sword, waking Polnareff from its spell. The largest shard of the sword possesses a young boy, who tries to throw the shard at Jotaro; however, the boy trips on Iggy and misses, accidentally throwing Anubis into a river. Secret Factor: But now I've learned that, too. (しかしそれももう覚えた)
Trigger Polnareff's "Forget Me Not" special move with Jotaro's "Blazing Fists" special move or "Jaguar Varied Assault" super move.
The group stays in a hotel at Luxor after Anubis's defeat. While there, Joseph is shocked by a power outlet. The next morning, Jotaro and Polnareff set off as Joseph sleeps in. The player must choose between following Joseph or Polnareff, leading them to Stage 23 or Stage 24 respectively.
