A Psychic Connection (心霊接続, Shinrei Setsuzoku) or a Psychic Bond (心霊絆, Shinrei Kizuna)^[a] is a strong tie that certain characters, usually familial, share. It allows them to sense each others general locations, awaken Stands in one another, or causes them to share injuries.^[1]^[2]

Summary

Psychic connections are first brought up when Joseph Joestar explains to his grandson Jotaro how he awakended his Stand. DIO had been pierced by an arrow brining out The World, and because of this Jonathan Joestar's body sends a distress signal to his desendants awakening Hermit Purple and Star Platinum.

Due to these psychic links Holy and Josuke would also awaken to their Stands, but would be unable to control them. Giorno and DIO's ot her sons would awaken their Stands this way too.

After J. Geil is killed by Jean Pierre Polnareff, his wounds transfer to his mother Enya.

After being blinded because of his deteriortating body Bruno Bucciarati mistakes Doppio's soul for Trish's. Trish being able to sense Diavolo plays a major role during the gang's final confrontation.

After fusing with the Green Baby, Enrico Pucci gains the Joestar Birthmark, which also affects Weather Report. The two are now able to sense the locations of Jolyne and DIO's sons.
