After each part of JoJo in which Joseph Joestar is involved, he is shown in the last panel with a Sony Walkman (ウォークマン, Wōkuman), listening to The Beatles. In Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, Joseph listens to the song Get Back, the source of the JoJo namesake. In Part 4, he has replaced his cassette Walkman with a MiniDisc Walkman.

Trivia
- In the OVA, Joseph is shown listening to the Gipsy Kings instead of the Beatles.
- Some fansubs (such as Nutbladder) included a second audio track for the episodes Joseph uses his walkman. In the second track, when Joseph closes the walkman, "Get Back" starts playing.
