Sugar Mountain (シュガー・マウンテン, Shugā Maunten) is a minor character featured in Steel Ball Run as the guardian of the Large Tree. She is an old woman with an appearance of a girl who is trapped along with her parents and other people by the tree's stand.
Appearance/Personality
Sugar Mountain is introduced as a shy girl looking like a 10-13 years old, with dark black hair divided into two long braids, a mob cap covering her head and a grape-shaped necklace, a black short dress and a white one under it, a cougar striped sleeves, panties and long-socks with a pair of leather boots.
Story
She encounters Gyro and Johnny while they're on the way to get the ears and the right arm of the corpse after stealing Gyro's Steel Ball. After a brief introduction, Gyro attempts to search the tree that she lived in for his Steel Ball, however, she uses her stand ability in a series of questions to not only return the ball to Gyro but also give him money, a gold ore and a few diamonds.
The issue was for Gyro to use it all up before sunset in order to restrict both Gyro and Johnny from turning into "fruits" as part of the Tree's Stand ability.
Finally when Johnny and Gyro get rid of the other things they had, she is released along with her parents from the Tree's Stand Control.
