È uno stand senziente che agisce sotto le spoglie del direttore sanitario dell'ospedale dell'università TG presentandosi come Satoru Akefu (明負 悟, Akefu Satoru). Wonder of U è in grado di sfruttare la legge universale della calamità per attaccare chiunque lo insegua o ostacoli lui o il suo portatore.
Wonder of U è uno stand umanoide artificiale con fattezze robotiche. Possiede un torso massiccio ma magro, braccia tubolari e molteplici articolazioni lungo gli arti e il corpo. L'intero corpo è infatti frastagliato da creste ad anello tra di loro separate. Sui polsi possiede due lunghe lame ricurve. Ha una testa ovale e liscia, dal volto si protendono due occhi circolari e altre creste circolari. L'intero viso è incorniciato da un paio di barre metalliche. Nelle prime apparizioni gli occhi venivano disegnati con dei triangoli attorno ai bordi, facendoli sembrare dei Soli e richiamando il motivo sulla maglia di Toru.
Le sue fattezze variano a seconda di chi lo osserva. Alla maggior parte delle persone, appare sotto la sua falsa identità; mentre coloro che sono coscienti possono osservare il suo vero volto. La sua falsità identità è quella di Satoru Akefu, un uomo anziano ricurvo che si dice abbia 89 anni. Ha un viso sottile con zigomi prominenti, occhi infossati, un naso largo e folti capelli bianchi. Le caratteristiche che spiccano di più sono una barba composta da vari oggetti appuntiti e un monocolo che porta all'occhio destro. Proprio come il suo alleato Wu Tomoki, anche i capelli di Wonder of U sono composti da tante sfere diverse. I capelli che si trovano nella parte superiore della sua testa appaiono più naturali, ma risultano parecchio trasandati. Le basette presentano un motivo simile, ma hanno una forma più triangolare. Le sue braccia e gambe risultano estremamente sottili rispetto al resto del suo corpo. Indossa inoltre una bombetta scura e un abito nero, insieme a una sciarpa chiara decorata da un motivo irregolare tratteggiato che la percorre. Infine indossa delle scarpe eleganti e usa un bastone per andare in giro.
Una volta scoperto che Satoru Akefu e Wonder of U sono la stessa entità, Wonder of U mantiene gli abiti e gli accessori di Satoru apparendo tuttavia con le sue reali spoglie a Rai Mamezuku e Josuke Higashikata.

Wonder of U è uno Stand senziente che a differenza degli altri stand della seria, risulta estremamente espressivo e calmo, nonostante i suoi modi molto minacciosi.
Appare molto fiducioso nelle sue abilità, ripetendo come nessuno possa avvicinarsi a lui o ferirlo. Quando Taoka lo minacciò di denunciare le attività mediche legali portate avanti dall'organizzazione dei Locacaca, Akefu avvisò il giornalista di un pericolo che sarebbe arrivato da lì a poco, prima che questo uscisse dall'ufficio. Sotto la minaccia del pericolo, è sorpreso come Rai Mamezuku riesca ad avvicinarsi a pochi centimetri da lui. Ma quando infine viene ferito dalle bolle di Josuke, Wonder of U è scioccato dal fatto che qualcuno possa ferirlo.
Wonder of U è perspicace, in quanto nota immediatamente la trappola tesa da Josuke e riesce a dedurre la minaccia che Josuke presenta dopo averlo attaccato a sorpresa. Proprio come il suo user, Wonder of U è pieno di assi nella manica, che gli permettono di evitare il combattimento diretto, sfruttando Do Do Do, De Da Da Da nella battaglia contro Josuke e Mamezuku, oppure Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da contro Josuke nel momento più adatto. Nel momento in cui Josuke scopre un nuovo aspetto delle bolle del suo Stand, Wonder of U pensa che la cosa migliore da fare sia ritirarsi.
Lo stand spinge ripetutamente i suoi nemici ad inseguirlo così attivando la sua abilità, attraverso le minacce o delle beffe. Questo rivela a Mamezuku di essere la causa della morte di suo padre, portandolo così ad attaccarlo ciecamente per poi essere colpito dalle bolle di Josuke.
Dato che è lo stand di un uomo roccia, Wonder of U afferma la sua superiorità rispetto all'umanità, dichiarando che "loro" non hanno il permesso di possedere nulla, che si tratti di un frutteto di pere (riferendosi al padre di Mamezuku) o il nuovo Locacaca (riferendosi a Josuke e Mamezuku). Inoltre oltre al valore di 200 miloni di yen del Locacaca 6251, dà a questo anche il valore di medicina miracolosa, essenziale per l'umanità. Wonder of U é in grado di mostrare visioni a bersagli singolari, facendo in grado che altri non possono vederle. Per esempio, una visione per Mitsuba Higashikata non poteva essere vista da altri membri della famiglia Higashikata,[3] mentre un'altra visione dello Stand fu vista da una grande audienza arrivata per la presentazione del direttore sanitario. There is a strong correlation between the size of an object and how immediate and severe the injury will be upon impact. For example, while a discarded cigarette striking Josuke's hand resulted in it immediately piercing his palm,[8] colliding with an umbrella stand caused a much more serious wound on Mamezuku's leg, though with a noticeable delay between the collision and appearance of the injury.[9] It seems that for collisions with larger objects, there's a waiting period in which the effects of this impact can be transferred to another person. A bystander was shown to suffer a sudden, fatal neck injury after coming into contact with Josuke's blood within moments of the latter being hit by a car during this Stand's attack.[8] As stated by Mamezuku, the severity of the calamities caused by the head doctor to someone who is not pursuing him seem to function as a form of karma and are influenced by an individual's history. This is demonstrated when a convicted killer who caught a glimpse of Wonder of U's back received a calamity that resulted in a life-threatening wound, while Mamezuku's took the form of relatively harmless things, such as a light bulb bursting and maggots appearing in his uneaten food.[4] This is further expanded upon by Wonder of U, stating that there is a "flow" of things that always results in calamity[2] which was previously hinted at by Toru.[10]
However, despite Wonder of U's seemingly unbeatable offensive and defensive capabilities, a possible weakness in its defense is noted by Josuke following his initial defeat by the Stand.[1] By remaining completely idle and forcing the Stand to confront him, Josuke was seemingly able to bypass the danger of the Stand's ability, as no behavior or environmental factors were present that could be extrapolated into a calamity.

Storia
Background
Wonder of U is the Stand of Toru. He steals the real Satoru Akefu's identity and poses as the head doctor for about a decade.
He is pursued by Josuke Higashikata, Rai Mamezuku and Yasuho Hirose but effortlessly escapes thanks to his calamity power. During their chase, he briefly appears behind Josuke but disappears as Josuke attacks him. Several days later, Josuke and Rai are in a car and discuss how they'll approach Satoru Akefu during his lecture on regenerative medicine. This triggers Wonder of U, who again briefly appears behind Josuke and activates his calamity power.
At roughly the same time, Mitsuba Higashikata keeps seeing Satoru Akefu lurking near her. As the day of the harvest approaches, a calamity strikes and Tsurugi's illness goes out of control. The day of the harvest, Wonder of U's calamity affect the Higashikata Family and Yasuho, who has come to investigate the house. Yasuho nearly drowns and loses an arm, Jobin has to take out Norisuke, and Jobin himself is gravely wounded by the calamity. Toru arrives at the scene.
Meanwhile, Satoru also gives a lecture at TG University Hospital, unveiling the Locacaca6251. However, after the lecture, a journalist named Taoka shows him evidence of illegal trials and threatens to make this public. Wonder of U is thus alerted and heads towards the secret Locacaca laboratory, letting the calamity dispose of Taoka.
When he arrives at the laboratory, Wonder of U senses that something is amiss and doesn't step into the room. Instead, he deploys a Rock Insect named Do Do Do, De Da Da Da and sics it on Josuke and Rai Mamezuku.
Wonder of U lets Do Do Do, De Da Da Da attack Josuke, but Rai Mamezuku eventually intervenes and kills the Rock Insect. Rai approaches Akefu and confronts him, waving his sharp fingertips two centimeters away from Akefu's face, and with seemingly no calamity in sight to stop him. As he approaches the tip of his wire into Wonder of U's face, Mamezuku begins to claim that the Stand's power of calamity could be a trick. Akefu openly wonders what could happen as nobody has ever gotten this close to him but declares that still, nobody can attack him. Then, Akefu presses on Mamezuku's past, reminding him of the time his father died, how a mysterious insect laid waste to the Mamezuku family's orchard, and how Mamezuku's mother fell ill and died as she was overwhelmed with all the calamities that had happened. Angered by the taunt, Mamezuku directly grabs Akefu by the neck and threatens to impale it with his fingertip.
Suddenly, one of Mamezuku's braids flies off. Mamezuku narrowly missed Satoru Akefu's neck and spherical chunks of flesh have been taken off his shoulder. Josuke sees that his own soap bubbles were responsible for wounding Mamezuku. The head doctor thus realizes that this was Josuke's trap: Josuke had laid several bubbles in the room but some of them were hidden and spinning at high speed. By letting Akefu come to him, Josuke had hoped to let these trapped bubbles kill the enemy Stand but instead, by sheer unluck, these bubbles wounded Mamezuku instead. Worse, one of those bubbles just pierced through Mamezuku's head.
As Mamezuku collapses, Wonder of U's confidence in its invincibility is reassured. However, Mamezuku is not dead yet and reveals the power of the Spin to Josuke.
Wonder of U asks again if Josuke intends on approaching him. Josuke briefly reflects on the true nature of his bubbles before regaining his focus. He declares that he's been the one making Wonder of U approach him. To bait him closer, Josuke summons Soft & Wet to destroy the vault containing all the Locacaca6251 test tubes. He disperses the tube and even destroys the doors with explosive bubbles. Wonder of U protests, stating that even if he will take the new Locacaca, the Locacaca6251 remains extremely valuable and that the world needs it. Hearing about the medicine price of 200,000 yen for a test tube, Josuke snarks about his 7,890 yen sneakers and stomps on the test tubes. Wonder of U finally steps into the room and approaches Josuke, while carefully staying clear of Soft & Wet's bubbles. However, Wonder of U then suddenly informs him that Yasuso is at the Higashikata estate and that she's in danger. Josuke hesitates for a moment, and resumes destroying the test tubes with even more fervor. However, a piece of glass ricochets into his neck. Wonder of U expresses incomprehension at Josuke's stubborness and explains how the flow of calamity will attack him through all of the objects that the Stand is touching. At the same time, he ostentatiously touches the test tube and the wreckage of the vault. Josuke tries to high kick Wonder of U in the neck, but a bubble gets in the way and cuts a part of his leg. Josuke trips and impales his shoulder on a metal rod sticking out of the wreckage. Wonder of U expresses his satisfaction, but suddenly a gust of wind comes from inside of the vault. Born This Way appears. With its freezing wind, the Stand freezes several bubbles and sends them at Wonder of U, who tries to deflect them with his cane. However, one of the bubble hits Wonder of U and wounds his head, shocking the Stand.
Soft & Wet: Go Beyond

Kei Nijimura walks into the room mortally wounded but despite this, Toru deems that Josuke is still too dangerous to come close to. Wonder of U thus leaves the room. It heads towards the elevator and notices Josuke pursuing it. Confident that it will be safe, Wonder of U quips at Josuke before stepping into the elevator but Josuke prepares to fire a bubble at the stand. However, Wonder of U planned for this and summons a Rock Insect named Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da that deflects the bubble and latches onto Josuke. Wonder of U enters the elevator. As Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da begins to multiply itself and cover Josuke, Wonder of U explains a bit of its biology and taunts Josuke, who is now covered in the Rock Insects. Wonder of U closes the elevator door, but Paisley Park then hacks into it, forcing the door open and allowing Josuke to confront the Stand at point-blank range. Josuke shoots a second bubble, but Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da gets in the way and deflects the second shot too. Wonder of U watches as Josuke collapses, overwhelmed by the insects, but then the invisible bubble that was shot out of Josuke's birthmark travels to the Higashikata House through Yasuho's Paisley Park. The bubble flies right towards Toru.[11]
The invisible bubble reappears inside Toru's abdomen, knocking him away and stopping the flow of calamity. Back in the hospital, Wonder of U, appearing as its disguise Satoru Akefu, flees from Josuke with an injury to its abdomen and is approached by two nurses. However, they are blocked by a cart because of their attempt to pursue "Akefu". At the same time, Toru eats the other remaining Locacaca plant and runs towards Yasuho but is sent flying by another invisible bubble, landing on a car inside the garage where a mourning Kaato Higashikata stands.[12]
As Toru crawls on the ground, Kaato stands mournfully. She begins to explain her son's favorite dish while Yasuho warns her about the Toru's consumption of the Locacaca. Toru begins to slowly stand again, and taunts Kaato about her son's death and her legacy as a cruel murderer. This attempt to goad her into pursuit fails, and Kaato begins to use her Space Trucking to pin him down. Wonder of U manifests ominously in the air sharing the same wounds as Toru signaling the beginning of a calamity. Kaato slowly reveals her true intentions, and releases Tsurugi Higashikata to perform an exchange on Toru's body. Wonder of U begins to hover directly behind Kaato as Toru and Tsurugi make contact.[13]
Wonder of U eliminato definitivamente
As the exchange begins and Toru slowly crumbles away, Kaato reveals that she crushed the New Locacaca's branches and poured the sap into Tsurugi's mouth. Wonder of U manifests behind her and attempts to attack her but slowly crumbles away alongside Toru. The exchange is successful and both are seemingly eliminated. However, due to its nature, Wonder of U manifests again in Norisuke's mouth, attempting to kill him with calamity energy. This ploy fails when Josuke Higashikata arrives to the scene and eliminates it with Soft & Wet: Go Beyond, ending the calamity.[14]

Di solito l'obiettivo di Do Do Do, De Da Da Da è la gola. Riempie le vie respiratorie dele sue vittime di amianto, soffocandole.
Uhm... io stesso... sono sorpreso... questa è la prima volta. Ancora un centimetro, eh...? Finora nessuno era mai riuscito ad avvicinarsi così tanto a me... senza essere vittima di una calamità. Cosà accadra a te quando ti sarai avvicinato di un altro centimetro sarà una novità anche per me. Non so bene nemmeno io cosa potrà succedere. È la verità. Tuttavia, una cosa certa è che nel flusso della calamità nessuno è mai stato in grado ad attaccarmi. Anche questo fa parte di Wonder of U...
Josuke, è tutto inutile. Per me questo non è altro che una semplice esercitazione di emergenza. Chi avrebbe mai pensato che sarei arrivato a questo...? Kuh uh uh! Addio.
