Deadman's Questions
Somehow, Kira returns to the world of the living as a Ghost. He has lost all memories of his former life save his own name, as well as changed appearance. At one point, Kira meets a monk and takes up her job offer to act as her personal hitman in exchange for money. He believes that, by making this job his purpose to live, he might find happiness although he also is subconsciously certain that he won't go to heaven. He also dreams of acquiring his own house.Kira is first shown on a mission to assassinate a child murderer before the prescription time for his crime applies at midnight. He takes the train to Nijigaoka station, smelled the flowers of the flowershop for 3 minutes then goes to the downtown shops to cut out a picture of a deliveryman to perform his plan. Needing a phone and a knife, he heads for the apartment of a random woman named Yamaoka. He rings and with the help of the cutout, pretends to be a deliveryman from the "Mitsumaru department store", pretending to have made a delivery by mistake and needing the receipt signed. The woman is reluctant to open but tells Kira to slip the paper in the mail slot, which is a good enough invitation for Kira to slip into Yamaoka's apartment. Kira notices that there is another resident in here in a bedroom and he cannot enter. Lost in his thought for a moment, he then decides to call his target but the phone won't work. He goes to the kitchen to take a knife but meets a dog, which surprises him because pets are not allowed in this block. The dog chases him and bites off his leg, Kira then bumps into Yamaoka and loses an arm. Thankfully, he frightens Yamaoka by phasing his hand into a closet and making a mess. Yamaoka opens the closet, pushing Kira's limbs to him. Kira then escapes the dog by phasing through the wall. This same evening, Kira finds his target in Yamaoka's bedroom and gaslights him to push him into taunting anybody to come get him as the hour of the prescription approaches. Kira thus opens the window of the bedroom and stabs the target, a wanted child murderer, before leaving.
Later, Kira goes to the monk's temple to get another assignment. It is shown how he hides his money in a pillar and has exclusive access to one ticket machine by putting a panel stating that the machine is broken. His peaceful ride is disturbed by a noisy boy named Yoshiki. Kira puts Yoshiki's shoe in his mouth and knocks down his mother to have peace. At the temple, Kira is surprised to by his assignment. He must investigate a ghost house who belonged to a former officer and is seemingly related to a surge in suicides in the area. Kira finds the house, hidden in a crack between two buildings. Entering the house, Kira is amazed at all the ghost furnitures that he could use. However, when he opens a cabinet, a bunch of eggs fall out and crack open. Anxious about these eggs, Kira eventually discovers and is attacked by Cleansers. The cleansers eat at his arm and he is forced to cut his own arm off. Kira runs to the exit but Cleansers have barred the way, forcing him to run to the second floor. The Cleansers catch up to him, but Kira finds a ghost pistol and fires at the creatures. This allows him to jump out of the window. Taking an ammunition case with, Kira sees that the target was absent and decides to investigate the monk's claim, promising to kill her if he finds any discrepancy. Looking at the blue sky, Kira wonders where he should rest this night.
JORGE JOESTAR
In the light novel JORGE JOESTAR, an incarnation of Yoshikage Kira lives in the 37th universe. Like his original universe counterpart, he wields Killer Queen along with Sheer Heart Attack and Bites the Dust. Kira is thirty eight years old in 2012, making him born in 1974 instead of 1966 like his original counterpart. Kira works quietly as a salaryman in the administrative department of an appliance company, and is eventually promoted to chief clerk.[1]
Background
One day, a dog belonging to Shigetaka Yangu 37 brings a woman's severed hand back to Shigechi. The hand had unusual nail polish allowing Koji Hirose 37 and his friends to figure out where the nail polish was sold. Koji and Rohan almost catch him but Kira was overconfident that he could kill them and then escape. Kira takes the time to explain his Stand name and power. Just before they almost die, Muryotaisu 37 and Fukashigi Nijimura 37 find Kira and Koji. They almost defeat Kira but he manages to get away, forcing Aya Tsuji 37 to swap his face and fingerprints with a random passerby. Kira then kills Aya and the other man by turning them into bombs. He also kills Shigechi as a warning not to pursue him.[1]
Kira causes fifteen locked room murders to occur by manipulating random victims into killing people for him by using Bites the Dust. Each victim knew Kira's full name and remember him appearing in their dreams with a hat pulled over his eyes. He tells them that when the police arrests them and asks about any dreams they had, then they should state that if Jorge Joestar ever comes to Morioh, Kira will kill him.[2]
Bites the Dust
Jorge heads to Morioh anyways where he meets Rohan Kishibe 37 at the Arrow Cross House. Jorge tries to ask if Rohan knows Kira, but suddenly couldn't remember Kira's name or finish his sentence. Rohan had used Heaven's Door on Jorge to prevent Jorge from remembering, because Bites the Dust was active on Rohan and saying his name would cause Jorge to explode. Fukashigi later exclaims that Jorge might actually be Kira when meeting Jorge at Rohan's house. As soon as he says Kira's name, Reimi Sugimoto 37 seals Fukashigi's body in a dimension underneath the Arrow Cross House in a state between life and death, saving him from exploding. Reimi reveals that Rohan was also being hidden in the same dimension where Bites the Dust cannot explode, as there is no oxygen there. The Rohan that Jorge had been communicating with was an astral projection from Reimi's power.[3]
Kira panics after suddenly seeing a lot more detectives in Morioh and cancels the effect of Bites the Dust. Morioh suddenly detaches itself from Japan and moves on its own and Jorge wonders if Kira caused it with a mysterious power. Meanwhile, Chomaru Bariya and other detectives hold a live television conference. They declare that they know Kira is not responsible for the deaths of Sachiari Hakkyoku, Nekoneko Nyan Nyan Nyan, and Tsukumojuku Kato. They promise not to go after Kira since another mysterious killer was trying to frame him, so they ask that Kira cooperates by providing any information for their investigation.[1]
At some point, Kira uses Bites the Dust on Kosaku Kawajiri 37 and brutally murders Shinobu 37 and Hayato 37.[4] On July 24, 2012, Kosaku and Diavolo ? are lured to Arrow Cross House by Enrico Pucci 37 who kills the two of them. Passione 37 eventually finds their bodies, assuming that Kosaku's corpse belongs to Kira.[5]
Chien Kunimido
Jorge and Kars decide that they'll need Kira's Bites the Dust ability to help them slowly go back in time to the original universe where Dio Brando had gone to. Jorge eventually realizes that Kira must have taken the identity of someone working in an election office, where there are lots of young, beautiful women wearing gloves. Their only lead is Chien Kunimido, the secretary of Morioh's mayor, Denta Shishimaru. Chien was nowhere to be found after Denta was kidnapped by Passione. Jorge informs Bruno Bucciarati 37 to find Chien and they eventually find him in the basement of his home.
Disguised as Chien, Kira had blown up several detectives. He tortures George Joestar II to the brink of death. By the time Bucciarati and the others arrive at Chien's house, Kira apparently killed George already. Angered, Bucciarati threatens to kill Kira but Jorge 37 warns him not to, as they need Kira's power. He has Bucciarati drop Kira through the hole in Cube House, which teleports Kira to Jorge. Kars lectures Kira about how he could never wash the blood away from killing humans, and that's why he's so weak. Kars demonstrates by touching blood on Kira's lip and creating a round, transparent bubble from his fingertip which transforms into a woman's head. Kars then touches Kira with the finger and the woman's head attaches to Kira's body. In time, more and more bubbles surround the head, causing Kira to be covered in several heads of women. Kira screams, trying to shake them off. Eventually, Kars touches the five metre long chain of heads, causing them to shrink and disappear. Kira goes into a state of shock, with hollow eyes and muttering that he's filthy.
Kars pulls Killer Queen out of Kira and the Stand attempts to blow Kars up. It repeatedly tries making Kars into a bomb, but Kars contains the explosions inside him and regenerates. Kars then orders Killer Queen to set Bites the Dust on Kira. Killer Queen obliges and goes inside Kira, shocking Kira that his Stand would betray him. Kira starts crying as Kars grabs his body and flies into the sky. Kars constantly has Bites the Dust activate and repeatedly explodes to keep going back in time.
After the final battle against Dio Brando, Kars uses the exhausted Kira to take everybody back to their respective universes and timelines. His ultimate fate is unknown.[6]
