Scolippi (スコリッピ, Sukorippi) is a minor character featured in the 5th part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo, specifically the "Sleeping Slaves" story arc.
Scolippi is a sculptor who gets involved with Team Bucciarati and particularly Guido Mista, as he allegedly murdered his girlfriend and her father has requested the gang to avenge her. Scolippi is a Stand User and his Rolling Stones predicts Bruno Bucciarati's death.
Scolippi is an adult Italian man with a lanky but slightly muscular body. He has straight hair kept at shoulder-length decorated with a row of hair clips and a somewhat prominent bang on the right side. He also uses dark eyeshadow. Scolippi wears a plain shirt decorated with metal plates on the chest and holed at the shoulders, and dark trousers with a spiderweb motif. His crown of thorns and the hand injury he receives from Guido Mista may be reminiscent of Jesus Christ and his Stigmata.
Scolippi appears to be somewhat withdrawn, meek yet benevolent. He is said to have avoided showing himself to his girlfriend's father despite having a committed relationship with her.
Against Mista, Scolippi calmly puts up with Mista's violent and intimidation attempts, explaining how his powers work. However, Rolling Stones' nature allows him to know whether or not he's fated to die and thus has remarkable calm even with a gun in his mouth, as he knows if he will survive any given situation. Even after having been mistreated and misunderstood by both his ex-girlfriend's father and the assassins sent to kill him, Scolippi bears none of them any ill will, as he sees people as puppets who are unable to escape their fates. He even prays for Bucciarati's assassins when his Stand cannot chase them down anymore. Scolippi is also a firm believer in Fate.
Scolippi is a Stand user, wielding the rock-like Rolling Stones which chase and divines people's deaths and offers them a peaceful alternative.
As a child, Scolippi suddenly discovered his ability Rolling Stones and learned of its abilities. He then became a moderately professional sculptor, not attaining fame yet but making a decent living.
One day, Scolippi's girlfriend was then touched by Rolling Stones and she decided to kill herself in order to preserve her organs for her father's sake because the father would need her organs to heal from an illness.
Scolippi encounters Mista in the elevator of his building. Mista has come to investigate the matter of the daughter's death at the request of the father. Mista quickly manhandles, makes the elevator go up, and begins to interrogate him. Answering Mista's questions Scolippi explains that he's a sculptor unaware about Stands except for his own ability, which acted on its own and followed Bucciarati. Skeptical, Mista shoots Scolippi's hand but suddenly notices that Rolling Stones has disappeared. Mista holds his gun at Scolippi's cheek and Scolippi explains that Bucciarati's fate has been sealed, just like how stones are fated to take the form of a given statue. Mista doesn't believe him and tries to intidimate Scolippi into bringing back the stone by forcing a russian roulette on the sculptor as Scolippi explains that Rolling Stones predicts future deaths and confronts its target to let them die peacefully when they touch it, claiming this ability to be the true cause behind his girlfriend's death. Mista shoots Scolippi in the mouth, but his gun misfires, as Scolippi isn't supposed to die. After pistol-whipping Scolippi, Mista leaves the elevator to pusue Rolling Stones and save Bucciarati.
Scolippi witnesses Mista jumping down from his building's seventh story to break the stone and the gang leaving the vicinity. He sees that Mista has in the end not prevented Bucciarati's death as the rubble, unbeknownst to the gangsters, takes the form of Abbacchio and Narancia as well, signalling their deaths. As a silver lining, Scolippi notes that Mista was ready to die for his leader and, admiring this determination, hopes that the youths' arduous road will fulfill some purpose.
