Appearance
The Hand appears as a humanoid figure typically in attire similar to football pads, though it has several spikes jutting from them. A towel-like object drapes over its shoulders, with a $ symbol on one end and a ¥ symbol on the other – corresponding with Okuyasu's own fashion theme of currency symbols. On each side of the Stand's face are blinders that cover its headlight-shaped eyes and limit its vision, a result of Okuyasu's own impulsive demeanor.[2] Its right hand has spiderweb-like lines on the inside, along with two bumps on its palm. However, these features on its right hand were not shown until later chapters.
Abilities
The Hand is a heavily battle-oriented Stand. Similarly to Crazy Diamond, The Hand is a powerful short-ranged Stand who can easily wrestle with the former, although it is not as fast.
It's unique power of space erasure makes it theoretically one of the strongest Stands of Diamond is Unbreakable, but as Josuke points out[3], Okuyasu's slow wit dampens its potential.
Matter Elimination
The Hand is able to generate a green aura from it's right arm via the pad on it's right hand, causing anything it's right palm touches to be erased into an alternate subspace [3]. Even The Hand's user, Okuyasu, has stated he was no idea where the eliminated matter goes. Similar to Cream, anything effected by this appears to have been sliced by a very thin blade [3].
Whenever The Hand erases something, the voided space is usually immediately filled and "stitched up" by adjacent material, effectively removing any traces of the removed objects ever existing [3].
The Hand can also eliminate patches of ground to create Craters[4].
This ability main weakness is that it can only be used via it's right arm, so if a stand were to restrain it, the ability is neutralized [3]. It is also possibly for very fast Stands to outspeed The Hand's attack [4].
Air ("Space") Elimination
Another application of The Hand's erasing ability is to "erase space". By erasing the air between itself and a desired target, the two are pulled to a middle-ground location. Not only does this prevent the escape of most enemies [3], but also makes up for The Hand's sub-par range stat by effectively "teleporting" him. As shown during the final battle, this ability can be used to divert the trajectory of projectiles, providing an extra defensive measure.
This can work against The Hand however, if Okuyasu is not aware of his other surroundings (E.G. During his first fight with Josuke and Crazy Diamond, Okuyasu was defeated by this causing a potted plant to fly into his head).
