Template:Location infobox The Skeleton Heel Stone (骸骨の踵石 Gaikotsu no Kakato Ishi) is a large ancient stone arena featured in Part II: Battle Tendency. Situated 10 roman miles from St. Moritz (Switzerland), at the foot of Piz Berlina, it was chosen by Wamuu as the final battleground between him and Joseph Joestar. It appears for the first time in the chapter 96 of the manga and the episode 21 of the anime.

The Arena

The arena is an antique stone circle with a large torch in the center and four pillars surrounding it with only one column along the route.

The Ruins

According to Kars, in ancient times, the victorious warriors of the arena came here to drink the blood of the fallen and feast on their bodies.

History

Past

In the ancient times, this coliseum was build so the people would look at the stars. Later, it became an arena for deadly fights.

Part II: Battle Tendency

Coliseum

Kars and Lisa Lisa agree to bet the Red Stone of Aja in a chariot race, in which Joseph and Wamuu fight until one dies. After a long battle, Joseph's chariot is destroyed along with Wamuu's and they're forced to fight in the ground Joseph's tricks help him to defeat Wamuu and emerge victorious.

Piz Berlina Ruins

After the battle with Wamuu, Kars and Lisa Lisa prepare to fight, but in another stage; the Piz Berlina Ruins. Here Kars tricks Lisa Lisa and leaves her badly injured and then uses her as a hostage to cheat Joseph. Joseph manage to save Lisa Lisa and "defeat" Kars.

Trivia

  • Whether spelled incorrectly intentionally or by accident, the location of the stone circle is a reference to the actual Piz Bernina, the highest mountain of the Eastern Alps.
