V Jump (Vジャンプ, Bui Janpu), full name Virtual Jump, is a Japanese monthly shonen manga magazine with a focus on video games based on popular manga. Debuting in 1993, it is currently published by Shueisha under the "Jump" line of magazines. V Jump also encompasses a separate series of videogame strategy guides titled "V Jump Books" (Vジャンプブックス, Bui Janpu Bukkusu).
Several video games adapted from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series have their own guidebooks from the V Jump series and will often include behind-the-scenes information, interviews, and promotional artwork.
History
V Jump was initially published as a "special edition" of Weekly Shonen Jump in November 1992, but debuted as a standalone magazine in July 1993. The contents of the magazine generally focus on articles about manga adapted videogames or series like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. The V in the name references the V sign often associated with Victory, but also means "Virtual".[1]
V Jump is also known for publishing manga series like Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Shadow Lady and a sequel series to Dr. Slump.
