Ce sont en principe des anneaux fait d'un matériau inconnu et contenant un puissant poison. Les Hommes du Pilier utilisent ces anneaux pour donner à une victime un ultimatum et les forcer à revenir à eux avant un temps donné sous peine de mourir du poison lorsque l'anneau se dissoudra.
Dans la deuxième partie de JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Battle Tendency, Wham et AC/DC ont insérés ces anneaux dans Joseph Joestar pour le forcer à les rechercher en moins de 33 jours après leur première rencontre.[1]

These rings are designed to dissolve in a human body within approximately one month.
The ability of the Pillar Men to pass through human bodies without causing damage allows them to place the rings on different organs. A doctor Joseph consults notes that his rings appear to be completely fused with the walls of the organs to which they are attached.
The only way to dispose of the rings and/or neutralize their poison is to retrieve and drink antidotes contained in specific piercings belonging to the Pillar Men (Wamuu's lip, and in Esidisi's nose). Because the poison is different in each ring, one cannot use the antidote from one Pillar Man's piercing to cure the poison of another's Wedding Ring.
Esidisi asks Kars if he wanted to place a wedding ring in Joseph, implying that he possesses one as well but does not use it.
Trivia
- The other Pillar Men suggest that it was common that Wamuu use this device on his challengers.
- After planting his ring, Wamuu references the wedding vow, "Till death do us part".[1]
- Joseph challenges Wamuu to a fight after one month before it is revealed that the Weddings Rings are designed to dissolve in one month.
