I'm Maelstrom, and I'm mostly here to help with the JoJo game pages since they're currently pretty heavily lacking. I'm always willing to help out with other projects though if I can be of assistance. Currently, I'm working on the All-Star Battle R character pages.
I currently only have 4,000 edits on this wiki.
About Me
I started watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventure in the Spring of 2019 when visiting a friend during spring break after being prompted by said friend and expressing some interest in Vento Aureo since it was airing at the time. I'd of course known about some memes for years though. I got through Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency but only half way through Stardust Crusaders before I had to fly home. Since my friend and I promised to watch it all together, and he lives across the country, I didn't continue the series until August of 2022 when I decided to continue on my own. I rapidly marathoned the rest of the series in a little less than a month. I'm up to date with the series, but still need to go back and read the manga for Parts 1, 2, 4, and 5 at some point (currently reading slowly through Stardust Crusaders).
While I've done minor work on the Fandom (gross, but there's no other wiki for it sadly) Devil May Cry wiki, this is the first time I've actually been properly involved in the community of a wiki. Having grown up on the amazingly informative wiki that is the Transformers wiki, it pleases me greatly to be able to help expand a great wiki for a different series I deeply enjoy, even if the work is a bit on the minor side.
Other Fictional Interests
I tend to hyperfixate, which is why I'm here, so while I have plenty of other interests, nothing quite matches JoJo at the moment. However, those other interests include (ordered by original media type):

To-Do List
Mostly for my own benefit, but if you wanna take a crack at it, go ahead. While not comprehensive (check/ask channel in the discord for that), this is a lot of the work that needs to get done for All-Star Battle R.
- Add missing movesets for ASBR characters (as of July 13th, 39/57 completed)
- Consider rewriting some of the info in Enrico Pucci (Final)'s moveset so there's less sentence fragments. Maybe utilize bulleted lists for the different strength changes (Jotaro Kujo (Part 4) is a good example of this)
- Add moveset changes from ASB for ASBR characters (completed for all characters that currently have movesets except for Dio Brando, Muhammad Avdol, Pannacotta Fugo, Enrico Pucci, Enrico Pucci (Final), and Funny Valentine)
- Finish adding reference art to ASBR character pages (already uploaded on wiki and added up through Vento Aureo)
- Find references for these images (especially the Stand poses)
- Add references to ASBR Glossary templates
- Rerecord Jotaro Kujo's victory and taunt poses to get rid of UI
- Possibly rerecord Keicho Nijimura and Weather Report's as well to extend length of pose
- Find proper references for Jotaro Kujo (Part 4)'s Stylish Evades
- Record Stylish Evades for Risotto Nero, Rudol von Stroheim, Keicho Nijimura, and Parallel World Diego to further complete their ASBR pages
- Add missing cut-ins to ASBR character pages so they don't remain unused files (done up through Vento Aureo)
- Rerecord moveset vids to match patch changes:
- Risotto Nero's Jumping Light Attack since it now launches
- Jean Pierre Polnareff's Assault Assist since it now launches
- Jolyne Cujoh's Assault Assist since it now binds and crumples and has more hits
- Jonathan Joestar's Assault Assist since the number of stocks changed
- Wouldn't be bad to rerecord the Reversal Assist as well to change primary fighter
- Figure out just how many chapters Josuke Higashikata (JoJolion) is likely based on exactly.
- Crop and upload images to known references
- Noriaki Kakyoin's Match Entrance (last page of Chapter 252) and Talking Cut-In (page 1 of Chapter 173)
- Akira Otoishi's Cut-Ins (chapters and pages listed on character page)
- Better crop for Yoshikage Kira's Reference Sketch ref
- Kosaku Kawajiri's Reference Sketch (page 6 of Chapter 429)
- Record/capture the following:
- Costumes/Models (should be transparent images)
- Get proper editing software to make transparency easier to obtain lmao
- Victory and Taunt poses (videos)
- Movesets (videos)
- Baoh needs video of his assist
- Enrico Pucci (Final) needs a video of his Stand Off/On and assist
- Stylish Evades (videos)
- Match Intros (videos)
- Round Victories (videos)
- Costumes/Models (should be transparent images)
Favorites/Rankings
These rankings reflect my favorites rather than what I think is objectively best. That'd be different. Low ranking doesn't equate bad necessarily. I just like others more than that. The JOJOLands things are rated low because the part just started, but I have faith it'll rise through the rankings.
Despite some overlap with my favorite characters, the users of the Stands listed have no bearing on their Stand's presence here beyond some possible creative uses. Instead, my favorite Stands are based off of either (or a mix of) looks, ability, personality if applicable, and use.
Honestly, I'm not so sure on this as I only solidly know my favorite and least favorite (though it's all very enjoyable) with everything else kinda floating around inbetween based on my gripes at the time.
