Manga-to-Film Differences[1]

  • The concept of the Ripple was not explained clearly.
  • Robert E. O. Speedwagon was presented as a minor villain, having been defeated at Ogre Street and never mentioned again.
  • Tarkus and Bruford make appearances but are taken out immediately.
  • The characters Poco, Dire, and Straizo were not featured. Naturally, this means that Jonathan was alone during his final battle with Dio.

Possible Battle Tendency movie

Even with this movie's failure, studio have a plan to make a Battle Tendency sequel, but was unfortunately cancelled due to the first movie's failure. It is unknown if any footage of the film even exists, with only a few storyboard images of the film leaking onto the internet[2]
