Gucci × Hirohiko Araki × SPUR
Gucci X Hirohiko Araki X Spur (GUCCI × HIROHIKO ARAKI × SPUR), also known as the Rohan Kishibe Goes to Shinjuku Exhibition (「岸辺露伴 新宿に行く」展, Kishibe Rohan Shinjuku ni iku-ten), was an exhibit held in Shinjuku, Tokyo from September 17 to October 6, 2011 at the Shinjuku Takano Building.[1]
Announced on August 23, 2011, it was a collaboration between the fashion company Gucci, the women's fashion magazine Spur and manga author Hirohiko Araki.[1]
The event's main highlight was Rohan Kishibe Goes to Gucci, a short graphic novel that celebrated the reopening of Gucci Shinjuku, the 90th anniversary of Gucci and the 30th anniversary of Hirohiko Araki.[1]
Summary
The exhibition was held on the 3rd Floor of the Gucci Shinjuku Building with free admission. Upon entering, a promptly lit wall is presented, displaying the entirety of the Rohan Kishibe Goes to Gucci one-shot with the original paintings by Araki. The rest of the exhibit features Gucci Goods that are featured in the one-shot, as well as a life-size statue of Rohan himself.
