Gucci × Hirohiko Araki × SPUR
Gucci X Hirohiko Araki X Spur (GUCCI × HIROHIKO ARAKI × SPUR), also known as the Rohan Kishibe Goes to Shinjuku Exhibition (「岸辺露伴 新宿に行く」展) was an exhibit held in Shinjuku, Tokyo from September 17 to October 6, 2011 at the Shinjuku Takano Building.[1]
Announced on August 23, 2011, it was a collaboration between the fashion company Gucci, the women's fashion magazine Spur and manga author Hirohiko Araki.[1]
The event's main highlight was Rohan Kishibe Goes to Gucci, a short graphic novel that celebrated the reopening of Gucci Shinjuku, the 90th anniversary of Gucci and the 30th anniversary of Hirohiko Araki.[1]
Summary
The exhibition was held on the 3rd Floor of the Gucci Shinjuku Building with free admission. Upon entering, a promptly lit wall is presented, displaying the entirety of the Rohan Kishibe Goes to Gucci one-shot with the original paintings by Araki. The rest of the exhibit features Gucci Goods that are featured in the one-shot, as well as a life-size statue of Rohan himself.
