Dio Brando's Mother (ディオ・ブランドーの母, Dio Burandō no Haha) is an unnamed tertiary character featured in the first part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, Phantom Blood.

She is a mother of Dio Brando and died before the events of the story because of the abuse of her husband. Although she is only briefly mentioned in the manga, she plays a major role in the light novel JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE OVER HEAVEN, serving as a major influence on Dio and helping him form the idea of heaven.

Appearance

It is unknown what she looks like, as she isn't present in the manga and her appearance isn't described. When she was alive, she owned a buttoned dress with long sleeves.

History

Phantom Blood

Little is known about her. She was a poor woman married to Dario Brando. She appeared to be one of the few people Dio ever cared for, as he mentions that he hated his father for making her suffer and "working her to death." The year of her death was between 1867 and 1880.
