The Louvre invites the comicsLe Louvre invite la bande dessinée was an event held to celebrate the collaboration between French publishers The Louvre CollectionsMusée du Louvre Editions and Futuropolis.

For the event, a series of French bande dessinées (BD's), Japanese manga and American comic books were published and showcased at a exhibition in Paris, France from January 22 to April 13, 2009 at the Louvre MuseumMusée du Louvre.

The event was organized by Fabrice Douar, deputy director and department of publications of The Louvre Collections and Sébastien Gnaedig, the editorial director of Futuropolis. With scenography by M.-A. Mathieu.
