Higashikata Fruit Company
The Higashikata Fruit Company (東方フルーツ会社, Higashikata Furūtsu Kaisha), also known commercially as the Higashikata Fruit Parlor, is a Japanese corporation that imports, trades and sells luxury and high-end fruits.
Description
The Higashikata Fruit Company specializes in selling several luxury fruits based on season, such as Ruby Roman grapes and pickled plums. The fruits are incredibly expensive and are sold under extravagant names, such as Versailles and Jirou. The current manager Norisuke Higashikata IV seeks to buy and sell only the best fruits available.
The seeking and evaluation of the products the company buys is managed by two of Norisuke's employees. First, his eldest son Jobin Higashikata frequently travels overseas to seek the best fruits to import and conclude deals. Secondly, a secret Plant Appraiser works with Norisuke in order to evaluate the commercial values of his plants.
The Fruit Company's primary business is a fruit shop situated in the commercial district of Morioh. In here Norisuke retails the fruits he's bought. In order to get rid of unsold fruits and make his customers more loyal, he offers them desserts in the fruit parlor situated above his shop.
History
It was established and founded by Norisuke Higashikata I after the legendary Steel Ball Run race, using the prize money to establish his company. The company led to the success of the Higashikata Family, where it is currently run by Norisuke Higashikata IV.
