Ojiro Sasame
Ojirou Sasame is the first antagonist of Part VIII: JoJolion.
Appearance/Personality
In terms of appearance, Sasame is a bald man wearing a shirt with a bowtie, along with a jacket and some gloves which he uses to hide his missing fingers. All of his clothes have his Stand's symbol all over them. In a flashback to when he met Yoshikage Kira, he was seen wearing a wet suit.
In terms of personality, he is a man who is proud of being a surfer, even stating its his job. Like Kira, he has a very bizarre fascination of hands which is shown when it is revealed when he examined Josuke to see who he was. He has sadistic tendencies, however, and has used his stand to toy with a girl who went to see him at the beach.[2]
Synopsis
History
Sasame developed a stand in his childhood after the house where he grew up was completely leveled by the earthquake and one of the Wall Eyes rose on that spot.
Sasame, in his adult life, is confronted by Yoshikage Kira at the beach. Kira, appearing from behind Sasame, insults his occupation as a surfer by questioning whether surfers were men of the sea or men of the land, and later, convinced him to eat all of his fingers under the influence of alcohol.
JoJolion
After this incident Sasame swore revenge on Kira and was the one responsible for setting all the traps in the apartment room, planning to attack Kira when he returned. Additionally, in order to remove anyone who might be associated with Kira, Sasame planted photo albums of bound women in the apartment. The protagonist initially suspects him to be the real Kira, but he confesses that he is not Kira and is in fact one of his victims; he mistook the protagonist for Kira and attacked him by mistake.
Trivia
- Sasame has a notable fascination for hands and through this, discovers that Josuke is not Kira.
- Both Sasame and Polpo consumed their own fingers, which might suggest that Sasame is Polpo's alternate universe counterpart. If this were to be true, it would make fight between Susame and Josuke (JJL) contrast to fight between Giorno and Polpo, as Giorno did know Polpo's appearance but didn't know he had a stand , while Josuke (JJL) didn't know anything about Sasame but did know he had stand and that their fights were first ones in the their respective parts.
