Soft & Wet
Soft & Wet (ソフト・&・ウェット) is a stand featured in Part VIII: JoJolion.
Abilities
Super Strength: S&W possesses abnormal super strength which far surpasses that of a normal human. It has been shown to be able to destroy a large portion of a solid wall with a single kick.
Plunder: When it is summoned, the birthmark bubble explodes and S&W appears. According to its user, the stand's main ability is to "Steal something from that thing and take it for itself". This can be used in objects and living things as well; for example: when Joshuu tried to attack him, the bubble exploded close to his eyes, blinding him for a few seconds. In the hospital, he was able to puncture holes in a woman then drain the water from her body, after which she got thirsty. Its ability can even affect sound as he uses Soft & Wet to steal sound from a wall before destroying it. The extent of how large or how much of an object it can steal is unknown, but has been shown to remove most of the fur off a cat and relocate it to the front of a security camera
Trivia
- According with the illustration, its standard color scheme is white with purple traits.
- Its humanoid shape is similar with its user's appearance. (Both are athletic and share sailor traits, such as the Anchor and the bolts of his uniform.)
- It bears a resemblance to Johnny Joestar's stand Tusk. Both stands have an android appearance and have stars in its body, but its eyes and facial structure closely resemble Killer Queen, the original Yoshikage Kira's stand.
- Is one of the few stands in JJBA which is born from its user's body (the first being Rubber Soul's stand Yellow Temperance).
- It is also is the second stand that appears from a Joestar Birthmark, with Jolyne's stand being the first.
- The Stand cries out "ORA" multiple times when attacking, much like Star Platinum.
- Apparently, S&W's ability cannot be used on its own user. This characteristic is shared with Josuke Higashikata's Crazy Diamond healing ability and Rohan Kishibe's Heaven's Door memory reading ability, among others.
- In chapter 17, Nijimura explains that the stand may be a fusion between two other stands: the first being Yoshikage Kira's stand and the stand of another unknown person who is hinted to be Joestar descendant.
References
- ↑ It would be assumed that Soft & Wet is a reference to the Prince song of the same name, due to Araki's previous referral to Prince in prior stories.
