Jump Ultimate Stars (DS Game)

Jolyne appears as a support and help character. Her KOMA-2 support makes she appears on the screen and use Stone Free's strings on every near opponent, causing stun state, her KOMA-3 support makes she use Stone Free's "ora ora" to make several hits on the opponents. Her KOMA-1 help increases the special attack gauge when attacking or blocking while your health is low. She has an ally boost with Jotaro.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle (PS3 Game)

Jolyne makes her playable debut on the PS3 title, she was confirmed for the game along with Ermes, Josuke and Okuyasu. Most of her moveset includes using Stone Free's strings as long-medium range attacks.

Her first special move allows her to shred her arm, use the string to capture the enemy and using Stone Free in sequence to attack the opponent. Jolyne can use a sequence of several kicks (hers and Stone Free's) as an "ora ora" like attack. Jolyne can set several string barriers on the stage, allowing to protect herself and damaging the enemy. During one of Jolyne's counter attack, she shred her finger and make one of the famous jojo poses, if the opponent hits her during that pose, she will automatically use a side step. Her main "ora ora" attack can be charged, the longer the chager, the stronger ther attac becomes (the attack also works in air, similiar to how she used against Guess). Jolyne can use Stone Free to make an air-grab, if the opponent gets hit by this attack, Stron Free will throw the enemy back to the ground (similiar to how Jolyne used against Vivano Eastwood).

Jolyne's HHA is a barrage with a baseball, where Stone Free keeps hitting the player until the combo number reache 1000 hits (much like she did against Mirashon). Her GHA is her wrapping her opponent up with Stone Free's net before beating them with a fist rush (Jolyne uses similiar moves during her first battle against Pucci).

Jolyne posses several alternate costumes, her first alternate costume it's her Volume 76 appareance. Her second alternate costume it's her Volume 64 appareance. Her third alternate costume it's Irene 's appareance. Her fourth alternate costume it's basead on her Volume 68 appareance.

Trivia

  • Jolyne is often symbolized with a butterfly. The butterfly design on her shirt combined with the spider web design of her outfit suggests her entrapment and innocence in life.
  • In one of his introduction columns, it is hinted that some fans may have complained about Jolyne's appearances being too "manly". Araki responded that "whether he draws women or men doesn't matter..." and entreated readers to focus on the importance of character.
  • She revealed that one of her favorite foods were "Gateau Chocolat" saying that if the world ended, that would be the last thing she would want to eat.
  • She has an image of a knife sporting butterfly wings tattooed by the hollow of her left elbow - the design/butterfly type of it changes frequently. The tattoo is a sign of her past membership in a car-stealing gang. It's hinted that she had been arrested before while in the gang, presumably to protect the other members.
  • Her prison card that she holds states that her name is "Cujoh Jolyne". She was transferred to Green Dolphin St. Prison on Nov. 23, 2011.[1]
  • Jolyne's stated sentence was to be 15 years in prison for vehicular manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol. After her father's attempt to break her out, she was given an extended sentence of up to 20 years in prison. She never actually serves the full sentence, however, and it is implied that her alternate universe counterpart Irene lives a happier life.
  • Some people have also joked about her hairstyle mimicking a "mouse head". This comparison was further reinforced when Jolyne was forced into a mouse's body by Guess. Apparently her design was influenced by Britney Spears' music video Baby One More Time. Britney was also a known member of the Mickey Mouse Club, a possible reason for Araki styling Jolyne's hair into mouse ears.
  • Her hair color's most commonly used combinations are pink and blue, blond and green, or green with purple.
  • Quite commonly in fanart, she is paired with Giorno. Even Araki has drawn official art of them together.
    • Both their seiyuu in All Star Battle, Miyuki Sawashiro and Daisuke Namikawa have done work in the Persona series, with its most recent fighting game, Persona 4: Arena having many parallels to the Capcom Jojo game (with both Persona and JJBA having Tarot card motifs as well).
  • Her design seems to have been an inspiration for the character Juri from Super Street Fighter 4.
    • Coincidentally, Juri's Japanese voice, Eri Kitamura, voices an NPC in All Star Battle, with Miyuki Sawashiro (who voices Cammy White) voicing Jolyne.
  • Despite falling victim to Pucci's stand, she has a counterpart in the "new world" named Irene (who has a boyfriend named Anakiss) who picked up a hitchhiker, Emporio and another hitchhiker during the end of Stone Ocean. "Irene" is also a tribute to one of Araki's earlier works before JJBA, Gorgeous Irene.
  • Jolyne's ability to unravel herself into string resembles Noriaki Kakyoin's ability to unravel Hierophant Green. This may be Araki's homage to CLAMP's manga reference, which featured a Jotaro-look-alike and a Kakyoin-look-alike in a relationship that ended up with a child hybrid of the two. Stone Free also bears slight resemblance to Hierophant Green in its design characteristics.
  • Both Jolyne and her father enter their respective storylines being locked up inside a cell.
  • Jolyne is the only JoJo who hates being called "JoJo" unless it's her mother.
  • Jolyne was the youngest JoJo to die at 19 & the 2nd to die her debut arc, very similar to her great-great-great grandfather Jonathan who died at age 20.
  • A lot of fans have a strong desire to see how her relationship with her great-uncle Josuke Higashikata would be, in fanart this seems to be mostly depicted as the two having a fairly loving relationship, perhaps in speculation that Josuke would not abandon her in time of need like her father. In the story, Jolyne seems to make no indication she even knows of him.
  • She is one of three characters to have one-shots along with Rohan Kishibe & Yoshikage Kira, while being the only JoJo so far to star in her own one-shot (Jolyne, Gucci de Tobu).
  • In the same one shot, Jolyne's mother is declared dead while she was mentioned as alive in Stone Ocean that takes places when Jolyne is 19 (She was 17 in the One-Shot). This can be an error or a part of the dream she was having at the time.
  • Miyuki Sawashiro, Jolyne's seiyuu in All Star Battle, has voiced Sakuya Izayoi in the Touhou fangame, Koumajou Densetsu II (who also voiced Marisa Kirisame in the Touhou Fanmade anime beforehand); the irony here is how Sakuya is a direct reference to Dio Brando himself.
    • Also like Sakuya, Jolyne displays the ability of flight in All Star Battle.
