Youth with Dio (ディオとの青春, Dio to no Seishun) is the fourth story arc in Phantom Blood.

Summary

As George Joestar expires, he asks Jonathan to forgive Dio and dies. Dio wakes up, having transformed into a vampire, and proceeds to kill several of the policemen. Feeling responsible, Jonathan decides to fight Dio. Their first clash ends at Dio's advantage since his physical might is many times greater than that of a normal human and Jonathan ends up with the tip of a spear impaling his shoulder. Dio distracts himself a moment to gloat and notices that Jonathan has hidden himself. He ends up covered by a flaming curtain and the fire spreads throughout the mansion. While Speedwagon leaves the Joestar mansion to watch from outside, Jonathan lures Dio to the upper floors up to the roof of the mansion, before charging him to drive him to the inferno the mansion has become. Dio manages to stop his fall and sends Jonathan toward the fire, but Jonathan uses the spear tip to cling to the wall and makes Dio fall again. Both are falling again, and Jonathan impales Dio of the Goddess statue of the main hall, trapping the vampire in the fire while Jonathan escapes the burning mansion, having won their fight.
