Whitesnake
Whitesnake (ホワイトスネイク, Howaitosuneiku) is the primary Stand of Enrico Pucci, featured in Part VI: Stone Ocean.
Appearance
Whitesnake is a humanoid Stand of a height and build similar to Pucci's. It is sparsely clothed in black, with a mask covering its face to the bottom of where its nose would be, in a piece that rises above its head by half its height in a row of peaks, like a crown. Its light skin is marked by horizontal stripes of roughly an inch's height, with "GΔCT" (after the four nucleobases of DNA) repeatedly written on every other stripe.
Abilities
Stand Disc Materialization: Whitesnake's primary ability is to transform either a person's memories or their Stand (spirit) into humanly tangible Stand Discs which can then be inserted inside anybody who could then read the memories or use the stand ability if fitted to, though one can't use any stand (for example Star Platinum rejected Jolyne). These discs continue to exist throughout Whitesnake's transformations and are indestructible unless they are inside a dyeing person. According to Over Heaven, Whitesnake can't force more than 5 discs inside a human being.
Digestive Mist: Whitesnake can produce a mist that slowly digests objects like stomach acid. While dissolving, targets of this attack are distracted in a delusional dream-state. Whitesnake may also create sophisticated illusions with this mist, such as impersonating others, for a limited time.
Super Strength: Despite its extended range (about 20 meters[1]), Whitesnake displays strength similar to that of close-range Stands; capable of stabbing Diver Down and Foo Fighters with its hands.
Augmentative Presence: Pucci shares Whitesnake's senses, including an ability to clearly hear and speak through it.
Trivia
- The delta (Δ) sign that replaces Adenine in the pattern on Whitesnake's body may hint at a "missing gene", or Whitesnake's incompleteness, as foreshadowing to C-Moon and Made In Heaven.
- Whitesnake is one of two Stands belonging to main antagonists that do not start with powers related to time, and that evolves into another form with such a power, the other being Killer Queen. Unlike Killer Queen, it is the only Stand to evolve without the aid of the Bow and Arrow.
- Whitesnake is among the few Stands with a mind seemingly distinct from that of its user.
