Hirohiko Araki: author of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Hirohiko Araki is known for leaving a lot of things unanswered, whether to intentionally leave it ambiguous or if it wasn't relevant in the first place. However on some occasions he makes us question certain topics to this day.

These questions are sometimes answered in artbooks or interviews. For example in Feelin' JOJO interview from 1998 it's been revealed Purple Haze's virus can kill his own user, Pannacotta Fugo, which wasn't known information by then.

Despite everything some thing are left unclear. Here's a list of questions I would like to ask Hirohiko Araki if possible (feel free to add your own questions or overhaul this format completely):

Questions

  • Beetle Arrow: In Vento Aureo it's been revealed that the arrows were filled with Stand-giving meteorite. While there are a lot of mysteries surrounding them, most notable one is regarding the beetle shaped one. This arrow was recovered in Egypt and kept by Jean Pierre Polnareff by the end of Part 5. However in Stone Ocean during Wheater & Pucci's flashback young Pucci was pierced by an Arrow that looks similar to the one Polnareff would end up getting. It is unknown if this implies that the beetle Arrow which awakened Whitesnake was the same one or if it's a different one that happens to look the same.
  • Shigechi's "hair": Shigekiyo Yangu, also known as "Shigechi" has a specific design. In most of Araki's colored illustrations his spikes are depicted as hair, except for one, where the spikes are part of his head shape. This design is depicted in every other piece of media. It's unknown which it supposed to be despite Shigechi being Araki's favourite character.[1]
