Hualalai - Cat Size (Story Arc)
Jodio and the gang are ambushed by a trio of mysterious cats led by the alleged owner of the Lava Rock. After handling the cats, Dragona and Usagi experiment with the Lava Rock's capabilities by entering a luxury watch store, Diamotch.
Summary
Jodio, Dragona, Paco, and Usagi navigate through a jungle, having successfully escaped from Rohan's villa. Jodio internally debates the significance of the Lava Rock given to him by Rohan. The group's journey is interrupted when Paco trips, and they realize precious items like the diamond and Rohan's artwork are mysteriously drawn towards the Lava Rock. An unexpected wire trap ensnares Jodio, and they deduce it's a Stand attack, possibly from the cat they saw at Rohan's villa. As the wires entangle Dragona and Paco, Jodio uses his Stand, November Rain, to combat the attack. However, they notice Usagi, along with the stolen items and the Lava Rock, is missing, and assume he has betrayed them.[1]
Jodio contemplates the cat's strategy behind the attack. Paco uses his Stand, THE Hustle, to free Jodio, but they encounter not one, but three cats with the ability to turn their fur into wire-like attacks. November Rain manages to shoot one cat away. However, despite their efforts, they are overwhelmed by the two remaining cats. Suddenly, Usagi returns by crashing the rental car into the tree to save them. He reveals that he had fed the cats caviar-laced burgers. He then drops the Lava Rock, causing the cats to be drawn toward it due to eating the expensive caviar. Finally, Usagi captures the cats using THE MATTEKUDASAI transformed into a net.[2]
Having failed their ambush, the cats run away into the jungle. Jodio and the others eventually exit the jungle and wait for their flight, reflecting on their recent encounters. At a food court near the airport, the group explores the properties of the Lava Rock through experiments with a $20 bill, revealing its ability to attract valuable objects. Their test is validated when Paco unknowingly retrieves the same bill they threw away. Dragona and Usagi then decide to test it out at a luxury watch store, Diamotch. While examining the watches, one of them goes missing, leading to a misunderstanding with the staff. Meanwhile, Jodio and Paco discover the decapitated heads of the three cats in their food bag, indicating they are still being watched by someone.[3]
