He is the grandfather of Aki and Takeru. He died at the age of 46 after being stung by a giant hornet, as it turned out he was allergic.
Mamoru Mochizuki (望月 護 , Mochizuki Mamoru) is the second son of Sakuzo Mochizuki. He is the brother to Akiko and Noboru and the uncle of Aki and Takeru. 28 years prior to the story, when he was coming home from school during the afternoon at 17, he saw one of the neighbors' kids were drowning in a river. He tried to save them but in the process, he himself died by drowning.
Seizo Mochizuki (望月 政 蔵 , Mochizuki Seizō) and his wife Sae Mochizuki (望月 サエ, Mochizuki Sae) are the parents of Miwa, Yamato, and Sakuzo, and at least one other child. The two of them put great importance on the moon viewing, with their family celebrating it together every year as told to Noboru. This allowed them to live long lives as Seizo died at 101 and Sae at 103 with both of them remaining in good health even past their 100th year.
Kentaro Mochizuki (望月 健 太 郎 , Mochizuki Kentarō)[Note 1], deceased at age 85, is a brother of Tsukiji and two other siblings. He married Kayo and fathered Yoshigoro, Seizo, and at least one other child.

Fami
A dog, that appears to be a Basset, owned by the Mochizuki family. It is first seen with the family inside the house as Noboru Mochizuki explains the moon viewing they will be doing. It later walks out with the family into the backyard as they set up for the viewing. It's last seen laying on the grass as the family awakens to a nearby crash they heard.
Aki Mochizuki's boyfriend. She had promised him they would go out but she had to stay home moon viewing with her family. After her family fell asleep for the night, she talks with him on the phone explaining why her plans changed. He informs her that he's already behind her home. He convinces her to come out and see him quickly. When she meets with him, the Moon Rabbit is about to kill her with misfortune by not staying with her family, however he pulls out a wedding ring and proposes to her in which she accepts. This saves her life as it forces the spirit to consider her no longer part of the Mochizuki family. He is last seen alongside Aki as the both of them walk to the backyard where the family resided.
A random motorcyclist driving nearby the Mochizuki home. They drive by Aki Mochizuki and her now fiancé along the road. The Moon Rabbit decided the driver will be forced to even the balance of the misfortune originally intended for Aki. Hornets fly by the driver's helmet and cause them to crash into a building, killing them.
Stand
Despite the variety of powers shown throughout the series, no Stand has the ability to truly bring back a person whose soul has departed.[1] Once a life is taken, it can never come back. Any Stands that appear capable of resurrection do so under various caveats. Gold Experience's life energy allowing Bruno Bucciarati to continue on for some time but was merely a corpse still, Limp Bizkit bringing dead life forms back to "life" as ravenous "zombies", Civil War reviving Axl RO due to materializing Johnny Joestar's guilt of killing him, or by merely resuscitating their target.
