Norisuke Higashikata IV
Norisuke Higashikata IV is a major character and Stand user in Part VIII: JoJolion. He is head of the Higashikata family and Higashikata fruit company, and guardian to the Protagonist.
Personality
Norisuke greets Josuke with a smile. En route to his house, describes himself as a "yankee", or one who likes "fluffy things" like a teddy bear as opposed to "some stiff robot hero",[3] before laughing openly in the presence of Josuke and Yasuho.
Later, Norisuke ominously warns Josuke that "[his] word is the law" in the Higashikata family home, in a somewhat traditional demonstration of paternal authority.
He becomes angry, swearing to kill Josuke, after witnessing what appears to be a romantic affair between Josuke and Daiya, though he calms, happy to "keep Josuke a slave and prevent him from retrieving his memories". Later events suggest he may have relented in this attitude as he proves willing again to provide aid and answers to Josuke, albeit with an aim to making use of information Josuke may hold in his suppressed memories.

History
Tsurugi divulges details of a superstition practiced by the Higashikata clan of dressing all firstborn sons as girls until 12 years of age, in order to ward away specific "demons of sickness", referring to a mysterious, medically unresponsive bodily affliction suggested as having origin in some Stand effect.[4]
JoJolion
Norisuke initially seems glad to help the Protagonist. Norisuke walks in on Josuke and his daughter Daiya in an intimate situation, privately angering and swearing that he'll kill him later. He proves to know of Daiya's Stand, California King Bed, thinking that he would have thought that Josuke would be under Daiya's control. Since Stand ability is often hereditary, it is also suggested that he owns a Stand.
He laters quells a confrontation between Joshu and the Protagonist, asking Joshu to get along, before bribing him.
Trivia
- Norisuke's birth name is Josuke Higashikata, like that taken on by the Protagonist. The fact that his mother's name is also Tomoko suggests that Norisuke IV may represent an Alternate Universe counterpart of Part IV's protagonist.[1]
