While Shigechi introduces himself to [[Josuke Higashikata|Josuke]] and [[Okuyasu Nijimura|Okuyasu]] during their first meeting, he mentions his mom scolded him when he licked a bunch of stamps to see if the glue tasted different depending on the stamp. He then pulled out a photo of her to show to them. |

While trying to reach Josuke and Okuyasu to warn them about Kira, Shigechi proclaims he'll protect his parents from the killer and won't let someone like him live in the same town as them. After his death, his parents asked the police to look for him, not knowing his true fate. |
