—Kotorto talking to his daughter, Chapter 750: Chapter 750

Kotorto (コトルト, Kotoruto) is a tertiary character of the sixth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, Stone Ocean.

He is Jotaro Kujo's doppelgänger in the alternate universe created by Made In Heaven to take his place.[1]

Appearance

Kotorto is a strange looking man, of bearing a similar appearance to his original universe counterpart. His differences from Jotaro is the lack of chains from his jacket, no text on his sleeves, no stars on his collar, the missing Lucky Land Communications medal on his hat and a different facial structure such as his cleft chin.

Personality

Kotorto's personality is near identical to Jotaro Kujo, mostly retaining his calm and collected mind and also the shame of him not being around for their daughters' childhoods. But unlike Jotaro, Kotorto is easily overpowered and does not have as strong composure as Jotaro, as seen when Enrico Pucci pushes him and his daughter aside, Kotorto is easily overwhelmed.[1]

Abilities

Stand

It's implied Kotorto has a stand as he claims he'll "get [his daughter] out of there", implying he has a stand ability. It unknown what kind stand Kotorto has, as he was easily overpowered by a simple push from Enrico Pucci.

History

Background

In heaven, the events of parts 1-5 still transpired, though maybe slightly twisted towards Pucci's favor.

Stone Ocean (2011)

After the universe is reset, Emporio finds himself back in Green Dolphin Street Prison. Emporio hears the voices of Jolyne Cujoh and Jotaro Kujo in the visitor's room and uses Burning Down The House to enter the room. He is immediatly struck with the revelation this is not Jolyne or Jotaro, they're doppelgängers. Pucci enters the room and confronts Emporio, he explains that they are just doppelgängers to take their place so fate still runs smoothly. Jolyne Cujoh, Jotaro Kujo, Ermes Costello and Narciso Anasui's souls are gone. They don't exist, their souls were left in the "other world".

Kotorto and his daughter, confused ask who he is before promptly being pushed out of the way.

After Enrico Pucci's death, "Heaven" would cease to exist. A new world is formed in the shape of the original one without Pucci's influence. It's unknown what happened to Kotorto, but it can be assumed he was erased out of existence since Jotaro exists in this universe as Kotorto existed to fulfil the role of Jotaro in heaven.[2]
