Mandom is the Stand of Ringo Roadagain, featured in Part VII: Steel Ball Run.

Appearance

Mandom takes the shape of a head as the centre of what looks like an enlarged, wrist-based item of metallic jewellery, splitting and extending at its ends into long, flowing tendrils. Dark, its face is featureless except where patterned by a number of small spheres resembling eyes; joined by lines to form a pattern of horizontally oriented lozenges.

Ability

6-Second Time Reversal: The wristwatch is the core of Mandom's ability. By turning a hand on the wristwatch, Mandom causes time to reverse. The time reverse is exactly six seconds. Ringo stated that Mandom always reverses by 6 seconds “not a second more, not a second less”. This time reversal reverses everything to how and where it was 6 seconds ago. While time has been reversed, it seems only Ringo is aware when it happens, although everyone retains the memory of those six seconds.

It is stated that Ringo does not explicitly need to turn the hand on his watch in order to rewind time, but he does so for the purpose of a psychological switch that enables him to do so.

Trivia

  • Mandom is a Japanese brand of perfumes and deodorants. Ringo and his Stand's name are likely to be inspired by their TV commercial featuring Charles Bronson and the song "Lovers of the World";[1] named "男の世界" ("True Man's World") in its Japanese release; the lyrics of which mention "living in the world of Mandom".
