The Mochizuki Family (望月家, Mochizuki-ke, the names have been changed) are a cursed family comprising the the father Noboru (, 50 years old), his wife Haruko (晴瑠子, 46 years old), his eldest daughter Aki (亜貴, 21 years old), his youngest son Takeru (, 15 years old), and his mother Mitsu (ミツ, 78 years old). The father is a company employee while his wife is a housewife, and both his children are still students.

Unbeknownst to them, the family is stalked by a spirit taking the form of a man with a rabbit mask who brings misfortune to anyone in the family who doesn't spend the harvest moon night watching the moon. The family as a whole is incredibly unlucky, but those who watch the harvest moon have had long lives. The family lived like this since the battle of Sekigahara.

Haruko Mochizuki (望月 晴瑠子, Mochizuki Haruko), aged 46, is the wife of Noboru Mochizuki and mother of Aki and Takeru. She is a full-time housewife, and it's revealed that she has cervical cancer, as shown by a positive test result she had received. Noboru reassures her that if she lives past midnight on their moon viewing, her medical treatment will go well, and her health is guaranteed to recover.

Mitsu Mochizuki (望月 ミツ, Mochizuki Mitsu), aged 78, is the wife of Sakuzo Mochizuki and mother of Noboru, Mamoru, and Akiko. She is also the grandmother of Aki and Takeru. One day, as the family goes out to the backyard during the Harvest Moon, a chain reaction of events causes a goldfish to be flung into Mitsu's mouth, almost choking her to death. However, Takeru's toy helicopter lands on her throat, making her spit it out. She places the fish back in its bowl afterwards.

Sakuzo Mochizuki (望月 作蔵, Mochizuki Sakuzō) is the first son of Seizo Mochizuki and the brother to Yamato, Miwa, and at least one other sibling. He married Mitsu and fathered Noboru, Mamoru, and Akiko. He is the grandfather of Aki and Takeru. He died at the age of 46 after being stung by a giant hornet, as it turned out he was allergic.

Mamoru Mochizuki (望月 護, Mochizuki Mamoru) is the second son of Sakuzo Mochizuki. He is the brother to Akiko and Noboru and the uncle of Aki and Takeru. 28 years prior to the story, when he was coming home from school during the afternoon at 17, he saw one of the neighbors' kids were drowning in a river. He tried to save them but in the process, he himself died by drowning.

Seizo Mochizuki (望月 政蔵, Mochizuki Seizō) and his wife Sae Mochizuki (望月 サエ, Mochizuki Sae) are the parents of Miwa, Yamato, and Sakuzo, and at least one other child. The two of them put great importance on the moon viewing, with their family celebrating it together every year as told to Noboru. This allowed them to live long lives as Seizo died at 101 and Sae at 103 with both of them remaining in good health even past their 100th year.

In 1989, after a Japanese landowner found the "Under the Moon" painting, a curator from the Louvre acquired the painting and brought it back to Paris to be a part of the Louvre's collections. At some point, the painting had killed them, and they still appear on a list of missing persons.

Three men visiting the Louvre. They recognize Rohan Kishibe and ask for autographs. One of them asks what Rohan is doing in Paris and if it's for research for his next series. Another asks Rohan to sign something for his girlfriend. Rohan questions them if they like manga, to which they say yes. Rohan questions the trio if they had looked at what they are wearing, asserting that if they love manga, they should respect this place. Explaining that since they are admiring masterpieces, they should be dressing up better than how they are right now. As he is walking away from the trio, one man reasks for an autograph, to which Rohan replies to look closely. To their surprise, he already did the autographs with his special dripping technique.

These two firefighters accompanied Rohan, Gaucher and Noguchi to the abandoned warehouse Z-13 to find the painting "Under the Moon", art of the painter Nizaemon Yamamura, in case the group got lost or something happened. When they found the painting, one of the firefighters had his skull pierced after moving closer to it. His body was sucked into the darkness in the ceiling. The remaining firefighter, once a war veteran, witnessed Gaucher die and recognized one of their attackers as someone who died in the battlefield. He asked himself how that was possible and begged for him to get away. Numerous gunshot wounds appeared on his body and he too was sucked into the darkness. Their bodies were never found and both were considered missing.

The grandfather of Rohan Kishibe. He lived with Rohan's grandma who owned an inn in the quarter of Morioh, S City. When he dies in 1994, his wife closes the inn and rents out the rooms. He later appears as a "ghost" summoned by the "Under the Moon" painting at the Louvre. He gets recognized by his grandson, who is terrified by his presence as he died 12 years prior.

He is a soldier who fought alongside one of the firefighters in the past. At one point during a war, he had died on the battlefield by gunfire, and the firefighter had witnessed it. He later appears as a "ghost" summoned by the "Under the Moon" painting at the Louvre. The firefighter recognizes him and asks how it was possible for him to be at the Louvre before begging him to get away from him. When close to him, numerous gunshot wounds appeared on the firefighter's body.

The interpreter is a beautiful woman hired by Rohan Kishibe in his trip to Italy to visit a Gucci factory and fix the Gucci Bag Stand. Even though he counted on her, she spent most of the time changing clothes at the boutique and claiming that Rohan was rude, his impoliteness not shared by her. Rohan often scolded her because of that, saying that there wouldn't be any problem if she just did her job. After fixing the Gucci Bag Stand, she got Rohan drunk and stole his money and passport.

He is one of the leather goods artisan of the Gucci brand and also one of Gucci's "skilled workers". He holds great respect for Frida Giannini and Gucci' traditions. He informs Rohan and his interpreter about Frida and the Gucci Bag Stand, warning Rohan about how he doesn't seem to know the bag's true purpose. The mangaka, however, doesn't seem to care about all his "maniacal information" and just wants the bag to be "fixed".

They are a genius artisan and one of Gucci's "skilled workers." They are also a Stand user with an ability relating to "Equivalent Exchange." They specially made three special Gucci bags in the entire world, which they bound with this ability. However, it's possible they can grant this ability to an unlimited amount of bags if they choose to.

He is the receptionist of the hotel Rohan goes to after being robbed by his interpreter. The receptionist apologizes to Rohan and states their smallest room is 60 euros a night, and they can't allow him to stay if he has no cash or credit card with ID. After Rohan is able to pay for the night, the receptionist suggests that for an additional 50 euros, he could enjoy dinner at the hotel's roof restaurant.

Two guests of the hotel Rohan goes to after being robbed by his interpreter. After Rohan is denied to stay if he cannot pay 60 euros for a room, the male guest offers to buy Rohan's Gucci umbrella from him for 60 euros since he needs an umbrella to get home. At this moment, Rohan also understood the Gucci bag's "true purpose."
