JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia is a well-used resource by both JoJo fans and those new to the series. However, it costs a lot of money to run the site, especially considering the site is only hosted by two people as well as the large amount of traffic requests and bandwidth the site uses.
The server for the wiki costs approximately $200 USD per month. This is excluding additional costs that all add up like yearly domain renewal and various back-end features. The ad revenue we get does not fully cover these costs (which is why we kindly ask if users can whitelist our site on your adblocker), so the remaining comes from our pockets and any donations we end up getting.

Why is the server so expensive?
The website's server is hosted on Google Cloud, which is cheaper than Amazon Web Services but is still expensive because of the resources a large database like this wiki uses. Our server needs to have a reliable amount of CPU cores and enough RAM to be able to load all of the large images (like scans in the Art Timeline and Model Sheet Archive pages) for the high volume of traffic we receive. An alternative would be to resize all these images but we would prefer to provide you with the highest resolution rather than sacrificing quality.
