Trivia
- The main character, BT, has a similar appearance and stature to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure main antagonist, Dio Brando. Dio may be a possible reference to BT.
- BT may have been base to teenage Joseph, who also used magic tricks and foul play to beat his opponents (most notably versus Esidisi).
- The arrows featured during the internal monologue scenes in the anime are an homage to Magic Boy B.T. In the manga, the arrows appear whenever BT is scheming.
- Due to Araki's tendency to name his characters after real life musicians, B.T. is most likely in reference to the 1970s funk band B.T. Express
- During the ending sequence of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable song, I Want You, a copy of Cool Shock B.T. can be spotted on Rohan Kishibe's bookshelf.
