Cursed Town (Jack the Ripper and Zeppeli the Eccentric - Part 4 in the JoJonium release) is the twenty-first chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the twenty-first chapter of Part I: Phantom Blood.

Summary

The chapter opens with a brief summary of the town of Windknights Lot, and shows that Dio has taken refuge in a mansion there. He has managed to recover from most of his burn wounds at this time, by feeding on the life force of the unfortunate women of the town. As he gives a woman's corpse to Jack the Ripper, now Dio's loyal servant, Dio explains his position at the top of the food chain and his plans to eventually rule all of humanity. It is not long before, Wang Chan walks in with the scar Jonathan made on his face, and Dio's attention turns to the scar and its cause.

Elsewhere Jonathan, Zeppeli, and Speedwagon are taking a horse drawn carriage to Windknights Lot. Based on street knowledge from Speedwagon that Wang Chan retreated there, the trio concluded that Dio currently resides in Windknights Lot. Zeppeli laments that even though he let Wang Chan escape so they could learn Dio's whereabouts, Dio now most likely knows of the Ripple from Wang Chan. Zeppeli then asks Speedwagon for a corkscrew to open his wine bottle.

The carriage ride through the Windknights tunnel goes smoothly for awhile, but stops suddenly, for an unknown reason. Speedwagon, puzzled by this, goes out to ask the driver why he stopped, but Jonathan warns him that Dio's minions would be able to attack to him more easily because they are enclosed in a dark tunnel with no light. Speedwagon, undaunted, leaves the carriage anyways. He quickly discovers why they had stopped. All of the horses had been killed, and their heads removed. One of their heads has been shoved onto the driver's head. He has died from giant lacerations on his back.

Something moves inside one of the horses necks, and Zeppeli warns Speedwagon and Jonathan to get away from the horses. Suddenly, Jack the Ripper crawls out of the horse's body, through its neck. Jonathan and Speedwagon stand in awe of this, as it seems that Jack had somehow created this atrocity while the wagon was moving. Zeppeli, unfazed, pokes a clean hole in the bottom of the wine bottle he has with him and pours a glass of wine, proclaiming that he will fight Jack the Ripper, as the killer emerges from the horse's body.
