In part of the 25th Anniversary celebration, JUMP j BOOKS announced the VS JOJO Special Project. The project consisted of multiple well-known authors "clashing" with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure author, Hirohiko Araki, by writing their own stories relating to the series. Because of this, these Light Novels were not written by Araki and may or may not be considered canon. However, a large majority of the cover art, illustrations, and Stand pages found throughout them were specifically designed for each book by Araki himself.
