Background
Yoo. Hi. I'm mista/holmes, an editor of the jojo wiki ever since it's departure from F*ndom. Ever since watching the series in 2019 when Part 5 was still early into it's air, I've been hooked by the incredible characters and fascinating turns that Hirohoko Araki has taken the series over several decades of its serialization. Like many others, I got into the series after hearing about it from a friend, and so I started the Part 1 anime (no skipping in this household) and over the course of several months caught up with Part 5 in time for the finale. In that time after Part 5s finale, I started to dig even deeper into the series, going throught years old jojo videos on YouTube: Stardust Crusaders OVA DVD timeline narration, araki interviews, fan openings, theory videos. While the series itself was what I really enjoyed and had originally fallen in love with, in that time I had found an additional deep respect and admiration for the sheer amount of history and influence to come out of jojo. Especially within the very rich community that has supported it after so many years. It was at this time that the wiki would eventually fork, and through a hamon beat youtube video I found the discord and soon after, wiki.
It was actually really funny timing since around that time I was starting to realize that despite my friends being also into jojo, and them being the ones to introduce me to the show, I knew and cared much much more about what I would call the "nitty gritty" aspects. Thus the wiki gave me a community I could talk about this really awesome series with and all the various details without worrying they don't care about what I'm talking about it. it's really cool. Plus when I edit the wiki, I feel like im contributing to something bigger than myself and I think that's really cool too.
