Jump Ultimate Stars

Giorno makes his gaming debut  He appears as a support and help character. His supports use Gold Experience or Gold Experience Requiem to attack and his help koma increases the special attack gauge when blocking or attacking with a support character. He's also the only PART V character to appear on the game.

GioGio's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Whirlwind

Giorno is one of the main playable characters in the game. He can use his stand Gold Experience to create life and use it on his favor, for example: Giorno can create roots to capture the enemy and create a chance for Giorno to attack. Gold Experiene can also create trees to make a high damage on the enemy and finally Gold Experience can transform Giorno's brooch into a ladybug or a frog, wich will follow the enemy (somehow it's an usuless hability, but it show how the game is truly loyal to the manga). Giorno's main stand attack it's his mudamuda war cry series of punches (wich can be charged to extend the punche's time).

During all the chapters where Giorno is playable (and all the missions in ANOTHER STORY) he will use Gold Experience, only on the final chapter, 20, Giorno will use Gold Experience Requiem. G.E.R has most of the G.E moveset, but instead of using his hability to creat life G.E.R will shoot insects in bullet's form, making this a long-range attack. G.E.R can also counter attack Diavolo's King Crimson, when Diavolo uses his hability, if GER is ativated Giorno will stay frozen in time, but GER can freely make any moviments and attacks Diavolo during King Crimson's effect.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle (PS3 Game)

Giorno appears as one of the playable characters in the game. Again, during his normals moveset he can use Gold Experience create life to attack and counter-attack. He can create an frog from his brooch, if the enemy attacks him during this state, the opponent will receive the damage instead (pretty much how Luka's did during the first chapters of PART V). The hability to create a tree is back, but instead of attacking an enemy, Giorno will climb along the the tree, giving him the chance to make an right chance attack (exaclty how he apparead for the second time for Koichi in the manga).

Giorno's main mudamuda is back, but this time he can also use it as serie of kicks (just like how he defeated Ghiaccio's in the manga). Overall, most of Giorno's taunts and sidestep poses is taken from the manga covers and "last pages" drawings.

Giorno's GHA allows him to use the arrow to make Gold Experience envolves into Gold Experiene Requiem (but it requires around 3-4 seconds to make it work). During G.E.R  gameplay, it allows Giorno to use the "return to point zero" hability to nullify any movement from the enemy, creating an medium circle effect if touches the enemy the attack will lose it's effect. Giorno's mudamuda also gets extended, around 4-5 seconds, making it one of the longest normal moves in the game. However, unlike the previous game and the manga, GER will finish after sometime, going back to Gold Experience. It's unknown if the same happened on the manga, but this happens probably to balance the game and not making Giorno an totally abusive character.

If Giorno activates Gold Experience Requiem during Pucci's GHA (Made In Heaven), the slowdown effect on Giorno will be nullify, due to G.E.R powers, making him the only character who can somehow counter-attack Pucci's Maden In Heaven's effects.

Trivia

  • Giorno's name written in katakana is not ゴルノ・ゴバアーナ (Goruno Gobana) or ギョルノ・ギョバアーナ (Gyoruno Gyobana), but as ジョルノ・ジョバアーナ (Joruno Jobana). This is to reflect the pronunciation of GioGio in Italian.
  • Giorno is the only JoJo confirmed not to have been born a JoJo; he was born Haruno Shiobana. His name in Romaji also shows that he is the only JoJo without the letter "J" in his name.
  • Giorno's hair was originally a black bowl cut. However, when his stand powers awakened, his hair became gold and spiked with spiral-like bangs. This hairstyle is also associated with chocolate cornets: the notation "@@@" refers to Giorno's unique hairstyle and is often used by fans to refer to him.
  • Giorno takes after his father's "Muda Muda Muda..." battle cry, only shouting the last "Muda" as a finishing blow. He also pulls off a "WRYYYYYY!" during his fight with Cioccolata.
  • Giorno's favorite musical is Les Misérables; his least favorite foods are chicken and especially duck.
  • A common aspect of Giorno's wardrobe involves wearing ladybug-themed jewelry, and his Stand also sports ladybug insignias. As ladybugs symbolically represent good luck throughout Europe, and it is considered bad luck to kill one, this can represent Gold Experience's powers of returning damage back to the attacker of its creations.
  • In an interview, Araki stated that he based Giorno's appearance on Michelangelo's "David". The cover of volume 62 was based off a Renaissance painting as well.
  • Giorno is the second blond character with a pigtail who lost a hand who was voiced by Romi Paku, the first having been Edward Elric of Fullmetal Alchemist.
  • Along with Kakyoin in the Capcom fighting game and Josuke (Jojolion) in All Star Battle (Both voiced by Mitsuaki Madono) and William Zeppeli in the Phantom Blood movie and Yoshikage Kira in ASB (Rikiya Koyama), both Koichi Hirose and Giorno are the only characters to have the same voice actress, Romi Park, in different games. Romi Park voiced Giorno in the Part 5 PS2 game and Koichi in "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle ".
  • By the end of Stone Ocean Giorno is one of three JoJo's who was not killed prior to Made In Heaven's universal reset. The other two being Joseph & Josuke, but It is assumed that Pucci indirectly killed them as well.
  • In Araki's top Ten Favourite Characters in 2000, Giorno ranked 5th, Arakis second favorite JoJo and third favorite Part 5 character. While Mista ranked as 7th, Diavolo as 4th, & Bucellati as 3rd.
  • Giorno, Joseph, Josuke, and Jonathan , are the only Jojo protagonists to completly lose the battles they faced were in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle League.
