Jork Joestar (ジョーク・ジョースター, Jōku Jōsutā) is the main protagonist of the tenth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, JOJOTHEFT, and the tenth JoJo of the series.
Jork is a brash teenage burglar committing petty crimes while trying to manage his studies residing in Toronto, Canada. After a botched bank heist, he is sent to do odd jobs for local street gangs alongside Micah Birkin. He is a Stand user, operating Heart-Shaped Box, allowing him to mold and misshape objects to his liking.
Appearance
Jork is a teenage boy of average height and figure. He has a buzzcut featuring a grid pattern across the buzzcut with spiky, chaotic bangs and grown out, long rat tails in the back. While not seen, Jork has the Star Birthmark on his left shoulder.[1] Jork has a rather youthful but handsome face.
He sports a short-sleeved shirt with sewn on patches, baggy pants covered in small studes with knee pads and a heart motif. His shirt has six straps across his sewn on patches and a heart-symbol with an upside down arrow across his chest with 6 spikes sticking out on each side. He wears unique gloves adorned in small straps connecting to fingerless gloves and his pants have numerous studs over them while his belt is made of handcuffs. Jork exclusively wears designer shoes and regularly washes them to appear "cool" to those around him.[4]
When robbing the bank, Jork wears a black mask to hide his identity.[3][5][6]
Personality
Jork is a narcissistic and brash teenager with high hopes for success. Despite Jork's confidence, he deeply cares about what other people think of him and tries to look as "tough" to those around him by hanging out with people he deems as "cool". Jork often brags about partying or committing crime and is generally seen as a show off.[3][7]
Despite Jork's claims of skill and talent at committing crime, he is actually quite incompetent, unfocused, unskilled and has rather poor planning.[1] During the botched bank heist, he shows a complete lack of focus, letting himself be distracted by a female bank employee and repeatedly trip from not watching his step.[3][5][6] Jork is easily distracted and poor in his judgements, often being called an "idiot" for his mistakes.[8] When breaking into people's houses, Jork uses no mask or tools, often only bringing with him a soda can to use his Stand on.[3]
Jork loves to brag about material goods and his actions, such as flexing the cars he steals or who he steals from. Despite Jork's disinterest his classmates, Jork is very popular both at his school, even having a group of fangirls at his school giving him gifts daily.[3] Jork often hangs out with gang members and goes out partying to combat his boredom, describing his gangmates as "the only cool people around".[3][7] Jork claims to find the "preppy girls" and "basketball guys" at his school to be boring[3], seemingly only committing crime and partying on a whim caused by the boredom of popularity.[5][6]
Jork is highly judgemental of those around him, especially authority figures.[3][5] He often engages in rumors about his teachers, obsessing over their personal lives just to find dirt on them.[3] Academically, Jork falls just barely flat, barely passing with mediocre grades every year.[9] Jork shows a cruel hatred for his teachers, often pranking them.[3][9] When compared to Micah, Jork often comes off as simple-minded and uneducated.[8][3][7] Jork is talented at improvisation and does display a sense of creativity, often being able to take advantage of his surroundings to make convenient use of nearby objects.[3]
Jork often flaunts about drinking alcohol, but is shown to have a low alcohol tolerance.[8]
