Introduced in the final chapter of JoJolion, Joseph unleashes his stand against the Guard Rail Creature. It manifests as vines that protrude out of Joseph's birthmark, and is briefly shown manifesting into a humanoid.

Personality

Rudol Von Stroheim is the cruel, and callous Nazi Major of the Waffen-SS His introduction paints him as a comically sadistic man. He executes a group of locals to become part of his experiments,[1] threatens to cut a maid’s tongue,[2] and uses a serum forcibly to extract information from Speedwagon.[3] He is also quite foolish and overconfident in his own schemes to account for failure.[4]

Stroheim has a certain respect for strength and displays bravery when the situation calls for it, otherwise he typically panics and yelps.[5][6][7] He is willing to sacrifice himself for Nazi Germany, going as far as to blow himself up to stop Santana from escaping.[8] Even JoJo is shocked to see how willing he is to show his guts.[9] He assists JoJo and his entourage, and his involvement in the final battle was critical to Kars and his vampire army’s defeat.[10][11]

Stroheim’s key trait is his enthusiastic nationalism. He is very prideful of Nazi Germany, and boasts about its technological superiority often.[12][13] He is particularly proud of his cyborg body and notably taunts Kars about its strength.[14][15] He is arrogantly confident about the strength of his country, and fails quite a few times spectacularly. He underestimates all of his enemies, and the failure of the Nazi army to contain the pillar-men nearly dooms the world.[16][17]

Appearance

Joseph's stand mirrors Hermit Purple in appearance, manifesting as multiple thorn-covered vines. It is briefly shown manifesting into a humanoid figure, its head covered wrapped vines and a pattern running across its face. These vines protrude out of Joseph's birthmark.

All-Star Battle R (Various)

Giorno ASB R.png

Giorno Giovanna (ジョルノ・ジョバァーナ, Joruno Jobāna) was confirmed for All-Star Battle R during the game's initial announcement trailer.[18] He was 1 of 15 playable characters during the EVO 2022 Demo on August 5.[19]

His moveset is fundamentally the same as his from All-Star Battle, with a few tweaks being made to both balance the character and fit him into the overall gameplay tweaks that All-Star Battle R brought.

Replacing Giorno's previous voice actor Daisuke Namikawa now is Kensho Ono, who voices him since the anime. Because of this, and like the majority of the game's roster, voice lines for Giorno were either added or re-recorded.

Costumes

Like the rest of the roster currently featured in the anime adaptation of their Part, Giorno, by default, sports the outfit that he wears in the Golden Wind anime adaptation.

As part of the Digital Deluxe Edition[20] of the game, Giorno – as with Jonathan, Joseph, Jotaro, and Josuke – receives an exclusive costume based on his outfit in the JOESTAR The Inherited Soul event.

Command List

Giorno uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, using various moves from his appearance in Vento Aureo.

While in this mode, Josuke will continue to advance toward the opponent and be unable to move or crouch outside of forward jumps and charges. However, the opponent's attacks will not knock Josuke back and normal attacks can be combined into Chain Beats regardless of sequence.

Historical Inaccuracies

This section requires expansion.

  • The opening of Phantom Blood depicts a tribe within the Aztec civilization, and states that the Aztecs rose in the 12th century. The Aztecs are understood to have risen in the 14th century in-reality.
  • The feud between Mary Stuart & Elizabeth I is largely fictionalized.
    • The real historical Mary, Queen of Scots had a son with Darnley in 1566. She was imprisoned by Scottish nobles after Darnley's death, but escaped and sought the protection of the queen of England, Elizabeth I. After unsuccessfully attempting to assassinate Elizabeth and steal her throne, she was executed in 1587 at the age of 44, rather than in 1565 when she was 23.[21]
    • In the manga it is stated that Mary was part of the Tudor dynasty, along with Elizabeth I. However, the real-life Mary was part of the Scottish Stuart dynasty.
    • Although Bruford curses all of Elizabeth's future descendants, the real historical Elizabeth I did not have any children.
  • In Stardust Crusaders it is stated that the Aswan Dam was completed in 1971.[22] The Aswan Dam was completed in 1970, but it was officially inaugurated by President Gamal Abdel Nasser in 1971.
