Chapter 38
Summary
Dio seeing Jonathan realizes that Tarkus and Bruford have failed their tasks and at this new opportunity, several of Dio’s zombie henchmen jump at the chance to kill Jonathan and please Dio. Dio however tells his minions that he will fight Jonathan alone. Jonathan goes to engage Dio but then Dire stops him saying that he wants his revenge first saying that he knew Zeppeli for longer. Dire then approached Dio ready to fight ignoring Jonathans warning about Dios secret ability.
Dire then uses his signature attack, which goes smoothly until Dire’s second attack at which Dio freezes Dire’s body almost entirely before it can connect. Taunting Dire, afterwards Dio then shatters his body into hundreds of tiny ice shards! Dio then tells Jonathan that he will kill him next when a rose strikes him in the eye, the rose coming from Dires severed head, which conveniently landed in a pot of roses. Dio then smashes Dires head in anger at the scar he gave him..
