Après être devenu un vampire, Straits partage leurs caractéristiques de base de régénération et de force accrue. Il a l'avantage de savoir aussi utiliser l'Onde, étant le seul vampire ayant des connaissances poussées sur l'Onde. Bien qu'utiliser l'Onde comme un vampire le tuerait, ses connaissances lui permettent de prévoir plus facilement des moyens pour contrer un manieur d'Onde comme {{Fr|Joseph Joestar|Joseph}}.

Après le meurtre d'[[Antonio Torres]] par son père [[Alejandro Torres]], Straits dit à George qu'ils se sont débarrassé des cadavres. Tandis que villageois de {{W|La Palma}} passent une nuit terrifiante enfermés chez eux, Straits, Lisa Lisa, et d'autres guerriers de l'Onde purgent l'île des monstres. Georges se sent honteux d'avoir gêné Lisa Lisa alors qu'elle combattai Alejandro mais Straits le rassure et lui demande de devenir un homme convenable.
