Bags Groove
Bags Groove (バグス・グルーヴ, Bagusu Gurūvu) is the Stand of Lulu, featured in the ninth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, The JOJOLands.
It is a long-range colony Stand that triggers automatically when its victims activate its trap, inflicting diseases on its targets.
Appearance
Bags Groove has a microscopic size, small enough to travel through blood vessels in a human body. It has a somewhat humanoid form wrapped in bandages which cover much of its body and head, giving it a mummified look. The head of the Stand resembles a helmet and has antennae ending in round bulbs. There is an opening for its thin eyes, which lack irises and are vertically segmented with lines. Below its eyes, the helmet has a downward-pointing arrow on the center of its face. There are also arrows extending from the sides of its face to its chin.
It has armor-like elements like a chestplate with shoulder pads. Additionally, it has sharp claws and three fingers. Its legs have knee pads, with the lower portion splitting into three legs wearing boots that are dark on top, making it appear as if it has dark toenails. On its back is a shield-like appendage pointing downwards, resembling an insect's pronotum. The center of that appendage wraps around the Stand's waist like a belt and the top of it is connected to the back of its head with a hose. It also has circles on the sides of its shoulders and hips.
Personality
As an automatic Stand, Bags Groove indiscriminately attacks anyone who would investigate HOWLER's land. On occasion, the Stand emits a screech of "Bisshaa!" (ビッシャア)[1] or "Busshaa!" (ブッシャアアッ).[2]
Abilities
Bags Groove is a long-distance, automatic pursuit-type ability. It is also a colony Stand, capable of infiltrating the bodies of multiple victims at the same time if they are caught in its trap. Its user set up a trap in the original paper copies of HOWLER's land deeds like a landmine. When someone investigates it, they'll be automatically attacked. Being remotely operated, it's a physically weak and slow Stand, which Charming Man easily catches up to using Bigmouth Strikes Again.[1]
Lesion Infliction
By inflicting internal injuries in its attacks, Bags Groove can cause disease-like symptoms in its targets. The symptoms vary and progressively worsen based on the attacks. As an automatic Stand, it follows a set procedure for its attacks.[3] It first travels to the victim's right lung, making a hole in the main pulmonary artery from the heart. This causes the victim to suffer from pulmonary edema, where fluid leaks from their capillaries. Consequently, they constantly vomit a cloudy liquid and are unable to breathe, feeling as if they are drowning. The victim would need tracheal intubation in order to maintain their breathing.[1] In addition, the Stand may cause them to gain a rock-like rash on their necks.[4] Afterward, it travels toward the victim's brain through their blood vessels, eventually causing blood to spray out from their eyes.[1] If left untreated, its effects can be fatal.
Touching Bags Groove can also trigger its ability. Charming Man's right eyeball being in contact with the Stand causes his right eye socket to mutate, forming an abnormal cancerous tumor.[1] Charming Man describes it as an average tumor which is painless, but deteriorates his body's health.[3] The effects of the Stand are canceled out and its victims are healed if the Stand body that inflicted the lesion is destroyed.[2]

Trivia
- The Stand's name can be romanized as either "Bags Groove" or "Bugs Groove". The former matches the song's spelling, while the latter is a pun which could fit the Stand's insect-like appearance and abilities.
