Beloved Erina is the third chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the third chapter of Part I: Phantom Blood.

Summary

While looking for his watch in his desk, Jonathan sees Dio at the corner of his eye. Dio has already taken the watch and plans to use it for the day. Jonathan feels uneasy and thinks he'll never see that watch again. Another place in the mansion, Dio sees the Stone Mask and holds it. George explains that it originated from the Aztecs and that he had bought the mask at a gallery in London not long after Jonathan was born. It was on the way back when the carriage accident occurred and George keeps it with him as a memory for his wife, Mary. George asks Dio if he's interested in the mask but Dio simply says no.

While on a tree smoking a pipe, Jonathan sees his friends. While calling out to them, the guys think that he'll just snitch on whatever they'd be doing. Jonathan soon thinks it's Dio who's behind his friends' strange behavior. Despite this, Jonathan is at least happy that Danny is with him. On the side of a river, Jonathan sees a girl staring at him. She soon runs away and leaves a basket of fruit for Jonathan. Jonathan realizes that it's the same girl that he'd save the other day, Erina Pendleton.

Soon after, Jonathan and Erina starts going out together. The two share a strong bond and seem to be falling in love. While the two are swimming at the lake with Danny, Jonathan starts carving something in a tree. Erina, curious of what could be on there, looks at the tree. It has both of their names together around a heart. Erina begins to blush and the two begin playing again. That evening, after the two say goodbye, Dio goes towards Erina and forces a kiss on Erina. This shocks the two guys with Dio.
