A New Friend is the second chapter of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga. It is also the second chapter of Part I: Phantom Blood.
Summary
After introductions, George welcomes Dio into the Joestar home as a son and expects Jonathan and Dio to get along well. George puts Jonathan and Dio in strict gentlemen tasks, including book studies and table manners. Dio is able to outshine Jonathan easily.
On another day, Jonathan and Dio have a boxing match against each other in which the winner takes the allowance of the other. Jonathan throws many punches, but to no avail as Dio is able to easily dodge them all. Dio then begins to punch at Jonathan, using his thumb to push into Jonathan's eye. Jonathan's friends soon take a liking to Dio, which to him is just another step further into isolating Jonathan. Jonathan struggles to get up and says how bad his eye hurts.
