Yokohama
Yokohama (ヨコハマ, Yokohama) is a character featured in the ninth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series, The JOJOLands.
He is a division chief at Dolphin Bank operating in Hawaii, whose goal is to claim repayment from Acca Howler for the 30 billion dollar loan that Dolphin Bank had lent to HOWLER Company.
Appearance
Yokohama is an middle-aged man of short stature with dark hair styled into a bowl cut. His face is very wrinkly and his eyelids are droopy. He wears a dark suit with a unique pattern of dots between horizontally-tilted stripes. When Charming Man disguises himself as Yokohama, his tie is black instead.
Personality
Yokohama is supposedly an excellent bank employee, having a luxurious office as a trophy of his work. When addressing Acca_Howler, he maintains his composure and stays respectful. However, in private, he consistently mocks Howler for his attitude and status. He has a gleeful attitude, even in stressful situations such as collecting Howler's loan before he is arrested. Despite his devotion to his work, he is also able to manage his family life as well, such as planning fancy dinners with his partner and watching movies with his children. Yokohama and his partner use an odd phrase when they want to be forgiven by one another; "My crotch ended up pointing that way, you damn she-chat" (股間があっち向いちゃったよこの雌ネコめーーーッ).
History
The JOJOLands
Yokohama and other employees from the bank show up at Acca Howler's private immigration gate when Howler arrives at Honolulu. Howler tries to rudely dismiss Yokohama, but Yokohama insists on delivering urgent news regarding Howler's land at Hualalai being authorized for seizure by the state government, with approval from other congressmen following Congressman White's authorization. Yokohama believes that Howler will be accused of falsely claiming to install waterworks in Hualalai's water veins to misappropriate public tax money. Yokohama demands immediate repayment for the 30 billion dollar loan that Dolphin Bank had lent to HOWLER Company.
Howler is shocked by this betrayal, arguing that he borrowed the money based on the bank's advice for constructing the Honolulu head office and purchasing other lands on Oahu. Despite this, Yokohama declares Howler's impending bankruptcy and insists on repayment, either in cash or land. Although their bank is involved with the crimes, Yokohama believes that only Howler will be considered guilty. He calls Howler a country bumpkin and hopes this will be the end of his conceited attitude before driving away with the rest of the bank staff.[2]
Yokohama starts having stomach pains, claiming to feel nervous about collecting from Howler since it involves a huge amount of money. He goes to the hospital to get a prescription for stomach medicine, but is suddenly shot in the head by Glory Days.[3] Later, Jodio finds the documents he's prepared to collect all of Howler's asset as collateral and the gang decides to take him away in order to somehow collect the debt.[4] Later, Meryl Mei Qi keeps him in the back of Iko Iko, though it costs her $2,000 per day for his medicine and the life support system.[1]
