L'histoire se passe à {{W|Ven]se|lang=fr}} alors que la [[Team Buccellati]] vient de déserter les rangs de {{Fr|Passione}} (aux alentours du [[The Mystery of King Crimson (6)|Chapitre 523]]). Nous découvrons {{Fr|Coniglio}}, une jeune fille un peu introvertie, originaire de Rome et qui travaille en tant que femme de chambre dans un hôtel, ayant remplacée sa grand-mère à son poste. Elle vit une vie ordinaire avec son amie américaine [[Winona]], un collègue nommé [[Leonni]] qui a le béguin pour elle, et les autres femmes de chambres qui sont jalouse d'elle. Coniglio a un secret : elle possède un {{Fr|Stand}}. Son Stand est nommé {{Fr|The Cure}} et ressemble à un lapin qui absorbe en lieu la douleur, les blessures et la maladie, guérissant ceux que Coniglio veut bien guérir.
The story takes place in {{W|Venice}}, after the group betrays the [[Diavolo|Boss]] (circa [[The Mystery of King Crimson (6)|Chapter 523]]). [[Coniglio]] (Coni) is a shy and introverted girl, without friends, originally from Rome. Through a series of bizarre events, she is now in Venice to work as a cleaning woman in a hotel, taking the place of her grandmother who died in a car accident. Because of this, her existence has become somewhat of a routine. But Coniglio has a secret: she is a Stand user and her Stand's name is [[The Cure]], a little rabbit capable of healing any injury or disease almost instantly. However, she doesn't understand the true nature of her power, nor is she able to control it very well.
Un soir alors que Coniglio a finit de travailler et attend Winona dans le hall de son hôtel, elle repère un {{Fr|Pannacotta Fugo|jeune homme}}. Ce jeune homme, qui est en fait {{Fr|Pannacotta Fugo}}, invoque son {{Fr|Purple Haze}} et relâche son virus mortel dans l'hôtel alors que le courant est coupé. Coniglio survit grâce à The Cure mais est paralysée en voyant Winona fondre sur place, ne pensant à pas utiliser The Cure sur elle. Alors qu'elle est hospitalisée, Coniglio se sent coupable de ne pas avoir sauvée les innocents morts à l'hôtel et Winona.
One evening, while waiting for her American friend Winona, Coniglio's attention is directed towards [[Pannacotta Fugo|a young boy]] standing in the hallway of the hotel. Suddenly, [[Purple Haze|a strange tall purple creature]] appears next to the young boy. Unbeknownst to her, the strange creature was called a [[Stand]]. The lights of the hotel hall are suddenly turned off and the people inside the room start dying without any apparent reason. Coniglio survives thanks to her Stand, but has to be hospitalized. She blames herself for not having used her powers to save Winona and the other people.
Plus tard, la [[Team Buccellati]] apprend la nouvelle d'un attentat étrange et devine que c'est Fugo le responsable. Ils décident d'enquêter sur l'affaire. Les héros pensent que Fugo devait avoir un complice qui a coupé le courant et va alors rechercher le vieux "Seppia", un des membres de {{Fr|Passione}} qui est responsable du trafic d'explosif à travers Venise. En arrivant chez le vieux Seppia, le groupe ne trouve personne ; {{Fr|Leone Abbacchio}} utilise donc son {{Fr|Moody Blues}} pour découvrir où est allé Seppia, il semble alors que le vieil homme se soit fait kidnappé par des membres de Passione et qu'on l'a emmené sur un bateau.
The news of the accident catches the eyes of [[Bruno Bucciarati|Bucciarati]]'s gang and they immediately suspect it of Fugo's doing. Believing that Fugo had an accomplice who detonated the hotel's energy generator, the gang decides to look for Seppia, the member of [[Passione]] responsible for the explosives trafficking in Venice. They reach for Seppia's house, but the old man is nowhere to be found. [[Leone Abbacchio]] resolves to activate [[Moody Blues|his Stand]] to find Seppia's whereabouts. Apparently, the old man was kidnapped by other Passione members and taken to a boat.
Pendant ce temps, Coniglio se repose à l'hôpital. Le soir, elle aperçoit encore Fugo qui rôde dans le même bâtiment et qui utilise son Purple Haze pour infecter des innocents. Il lui semble alors que Fugo la suit. Dans l'obscurité, le virus peut circuler librement. Cette fois, Coniglio utilise The Cure pour absorber le virus mais ne parvient pas à tous les sauver. Se blâmant encore, Coniglio s'évanouit d'épuisement.
Meanwhile, Fugo seems to be stalking Coniglio; he activates his Purple Haze against innocent nearby people around Coniglio, forcing her to save them. However, in the darkness of a blacked-out Venice, Purple Haze's virus can spread without boundaries and not even The Cure is capable of saving them all. Desperate, blaming herself for the death of all those people, Coniglio collapses to the ground.

Dans la basilique, Sogliola révèle son vrai plan. En fait, il connaissait l'existence de {{Fr|Coniglio}} et de {{Fr|The Cure}}. Il a ordonné à Fugo de suivre Coniglio et de continuer à répandre son virus pour pousser Coniglio à absorber le virus. Sogliola comptait sur le fait que The Cure aurait tellement de souffrance à absorber qu'il en deviendrait un Stand géant hors de contrôle qui est devenu porteur du virus. Ce qu'il ne sait pas, c'est que Fugo est venue parler à Coniglio pour l'encourager à maîtriser son Stand. Tandis que Buccellati est incapacité par le virus, {{Fr|Giorno Giovanna}} tente de le combattre avec {{Fr|Gold Experience}} mais The Cure absorbe sa propre douleur et n'en devient que plus fort.
Inside the Basilica, Sogliola's true plan to kill the gang once and for all is finally revealed. After having sucked Purple Haze's virus from so many victims, The Cure has grown in size, completely losing control. It is now a huge powerful rabbit carrying the virus, the perfect weapon to wipe out the traitors of the organization. Bucciarati tries fighting, but he is incapacitated by the virus. Giorno's [[Gold Experience]] tries to kill the beast, but since The Cure is capable of absorbing even its own pain, it only ends up making it stronger.

Les héros voient Fugo partir au loin dans un bateau, ayant pu se forger sa propre voie entre fidélité à Passione et fidélité pour ses compagnons. Giorno et ses compagnons continuent leur propre aventure. Pour sa part, Coniglio s'est trouvée une vocation. Elle devient une bonne samaritaine itinérante. Elle voyage dans l'Illinois aux Etats-Unis, où elle s'exerce dans ses pouvoirs et utilise The Cure pour aider les gens.
In the last chapter the gang watches as Fugo slowly disappears in the distance with his boat. Sogliola's plan failed because Fugo didn't reveal Giorno's immunity to Purple Haze's virus. He has no regrets since he has managed to get Sogliola killed without disobeying the orders nor betraying his former friends.
After having heartened Coniglio with his kind words, Giorno continues the journey with the gang. Coniglio leaves Italy and travels to a small village in Illinois, USA, where she will learn to develop her powers and try to use them to help other people.
